María es una niña a quien le fascina cocinar y vive con su abuela, doña Tere, en el centro de la Ciudad de México. Doña Tere tiene un restaurante de comida tradicional mexicana llamado El Molcajete. Tras la muerte de su hija, doña Tere abandonó su pasión por la cocina y dejó de trabajar en El Molcajete, que ahora opera bajo la dirección de la chef Rosi. María hace todo lo posible para que su abuela regrese al restaurante. Mientras tanto, la chef Rosi realiza platos siguiendo las nuevas tendencias de la cocina fusión en cual se resalta lo light. Pero María y doña Tere no aceptarán que los tradicionales sabores y los secretos de cocina sean olvidados.

Musician Rosendo Nevárez learns of his brother Gabriel’s death in a remote spot in the Durango mountains and decides to return to his boyhood home to learn more about his brother’s untimely end. Gabriel, who was more widely known as the “Mountain Hawk,” led an outlaw’s life which was either that of a lowly criminal or daring do-gooder, as accounts of the man’s life vary depending on the point of view of the interviewee. As Rosendo digs deeper for the truth, it becomes apparent that Gabriel was a heroic figure worthy of the song his brother plans to write in his commemoration—if only Rosendo can overcome his growing envy for his brother’s immortal status as a swashbuckling rebel.
Screenplay
Gabriel, a mentally unstable actor, upon release from asylum falls for aspiring actress Julieta, and tries to help her win film roles – only, she doesn’t fancy him one bit, and merely uses his connections for bettering her career. Her best friend Letícia, also an aspiring actress, uses a friend’s uncle – a senator, to further her ambition. Both their interests clash at some point – crime ensues.
