Ciccio, so called “O’ Pazz” (the Mad Man) and Ciruzzo, so called “Pesce Bello” (Beautiful Fish) are two bloody murderers that smear violence onto the weak. In an atmosphere of supremacy between the miserable, new enemies, apparently inoffensive, seem to start gaining space. Pushed by the alienation of the place, the two criminals start to develop a paranoia even towards two helpless animals: Severino the donkey and Piero the boar. The final showdown is near.

Members of the Camorra on the run and actors seeking for authority meet after a shipwreck on an island-prison. The theatre turns into a free zone where everyone may not be able to recover their social role but for sure their humanity. Somebody can even get love back. The wives alarmed try to stir the spirits of the three hot husbands, but the whole thing is just a trick of three Bulgarians with intent to deprive the people of their assets in the country and that the girls will not.

Inspirada en hechos reales. Cuando la obra alcanza más de cien metros de altura, la empresa descubre una tremenda hendidura que podría provocar un desmoronamiento. In 1838 in the kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies, Malacarne, gamekeeper of Baron San Germano, kills the bandit Caruso, whose widow gives birth to Giovanni and at the same time becomes the nurse of Costanza, San Germano’s orphaned daughter. Thirteen years later, Giovanni and Costanza fall in love to the jealousy of her uncle, who shuts her in a convent, ordering Giovanni to be killed by Malacarne who has meanwhile become a bandit. Barely alive, Giovanni is taken away by Bourbon soldiers. After Garibaldi’s arrival in Sicily and its union with Italy, Costanza is freed from the convent and returns to San Germano. She is visited by Giovanni and although still loves him, rejects him since she wishes to become a nun. In the meantime, Giovanni kills Malacarne and takes his place. Costanza marries the rich Lo Turco and the next day departs for Naples, but during the journey the carriage is attacked by Giovanni’s band. Costanza flees with him and they leave for America.

Michele criticizes the film industry and its inhabitants, and is particularly embattled with a Neapolitan director making a musical about the 1968 student demonstrations. At the same time, Michele has a creative block and struggles to finish his film titled "Freud’s Mother." Nanni Moretti’s self-inquiry into filmmaking, political ennui, and men’s relations with their mothers.

A couple arrive in an off-season Cesenatico but they quickly split up after a bad argument. The girl then settles in an uninhabited flat with a photographer she met before and with whom she has an affair. His ex gets kidnapped by three amateur robbers. Both stories end with a dramatic and grotesque epilogue.

A second coming? This time our savior chose a shantytown outside Turin, in the north of Italy, overcrowded by poor families coming from the south in search of a job in a factory, or less legal ways to survive. Young Maria (Cinzia De Carolis) can predict the future during her epileptic seizures, or at least that's what everyone believes, and her mother (Clelia Matania) sells her predictions and responses to the superstitious neighbors, after inducing her "trance" with electricity. One night the shock is too strong, and Maria seems to die: when she wakes up, she is found pregnant. And being a honest unmarried girl from the south, she is obviously still virgin... Notwithstanding the opposition of the local priest (Turi Ferro), everyone, including her, believes in the miracle, and prepares for a second coming, in a crescendo of fanaticism that is soon noticed by the press, and by the official church..
