Ciccio, so called “O’ Pazz” (the Mad Man) and Ciruzzo, so called “Pesce Bello” (Beautiful Fish) are two bloody murderers that smear violence onto the weak. Pushed by the alienation of the place, the two criminals start to develop a paranoia even towards two helpless animals: Severino the donkey and Piero the boar. The final showdown is near.

In a small village of Naples three friends, Francis, Mimmo and Lello, manage to get a meeting with three beautiful Bulgarian girls known on the Internet, scheduled for Christmas. On October 9th, 1963, at 10:39 pm, 260 million cubic meters of rock fell down from Mount Toc to the artificial lake formed by the Vajont dam, the higher dam in the world. The landslide formed a 250-meters wave and 50 million cubic meters of water completely destroied all the below towns, killing more than 2000 people. Planned by engineer Semenza, Vajont dam (263 meters) had to carry the electricity in all the houses of the country. Tina Merlin, a journalist from 'L'Unitá', tried for years to denounce the danger to build a dam near the Mount Toc and expecially to denounce all the omissions by the corrupted politicians and workers in charge of the dam construction. They preferred to trust in old geologist Dal Piaz instead to hear engineer Semenza young son's alarming analysis. No one seemed to understand the high danger until that October fatal night.

The adventures and deceptions of a photographer who travels through small villages of 1950s Sicily pretending to work for the big film studios in Rome.

In 1838 in the kingdom of Naples and the Two Sicilies, Malacarne, gamekeeper of Baron San Germano, kills the bandit Caruso, whose widow gives birth to Giovanni and at the same time becomes the nurse of Costanza, San Germano’s orphaned daughter. Thirteen years later, Giovanni and Costanza fall in love to the jealousy of her uncle, who shuts her in a convent, ordering Giovanni to be killed by Malacarne who has meanwhile become a bandit. Barely alive, Giovanni is taken away by Bourbon soldiers. After Garibaldi’s arrival in Sicily and its union with Italy, Costanza is freed from the convent and returns to San Germano. She is visited by Giovanni and although still loves him, rejects him since she wishes to become a nun. In the meantime, Giovanni kills Malacarne and takes his place. Costanza marries the rich Lo Turco and the next day departs for Naples, but during the journey the carriage is attacked by Giovanni’s band. Costanza flees with him and they leave for America.

자신만의 원칙을 철저히 지키려 노력하며 사는 홀아비 마테오 스크로(마르첼로 마스트로이안니 분)는 퇴직을 하고 연금을 받으며 시칠리아 섬에 있는 카스텔베트라노에 살고 있다. 그는 언제나 죽은 아내 안젤라와 오래 전부터 이탈리아 전역에 흩어져 살고 있는 다섯 명의 자식들을 그리워한다. 그러나 휴가철이 되어도 자식들이 고향인 시칠리아에 오지 않자 자신이 직접 그들을 만나러 가기로 결심한다. 하지만 여행을 하면서 실망과 회한만 느끼게 된다. 그가 처음으로 간 곳은 아들 알바로가 가 있는 나폴리이다. 마테오는 아들이 차기 국회의원 정도의 위치에 있는 줄 알았으나, 실제로는 어느 국회의원 밑에서 자료나 수집해 주는 일을 하고 있다. 다음에는 피렌체로 가서 예쁜 용모를 가진 딸 토스카를 만난다. 마테오의 생각으로는 딸이 유명한 배우가 되어 있어야 하는데, 실제로는 속옷 광고의 사진 모델을 하고 있고, 게다가 아비 없는 자식까지 기르고 있다. 그리고 밀라노에서는 교향악단에서 베이스 드럼을 연주하며 음악가로서의 길을 걷고 있지만, 자신의 직업에 만족하지 못하는 아들 굴리엘모를 만난다. 마지막으로 토리노에서는 전화국의 중역이 된 줄로 알고 있었던 노르마를 만나지만, 노르마 역시 전보를 치는 일을 하는 일개 직원일 뿐이고 결혼 생활도 파탄 지경에 이르러 있다. 자식들 모두 고향에서 외로운 홀로 생활을 하고 있는 노부에게 심려를 끼치지 않기 위해 잘 지낸다고, 일도 가정도 모두 평탄하다고 속여왔고, 자식들의 말을 곧이곧대로 믿은 마테오는 자식들이 그렇게 힘들게 살고 있는 줄은 꿈에도 몰랐던 것이다. 쓰라린 마음을 안고 고향인 시칠리아로 돌아 온 마테오는 그토록 사랑했던 아내의 무덤에 찾아가 낮은 목소리로 이야기 한다. “모두 잘 지내고 있다오.”

어린 시절 영화가 세상의 전부였던 소년 토토는 학교 수업을 마치면 마을 광장에 있는 낡은 시네마 천국이라는 극장으로 달려가 영사 기사 알프레도와 친구로 지내며 어깨너머로 영사기술을 배운다. 어느 날 관객들을 위해 광장에서 야외 상영을 해주던 알프레도가 그만 화재 사고로 실명하게 되고, 토토가 그의 뒤를 이어 시네마 천국의 영상기사로 일하게 된다. 실명한 후에도 토토의 친구이자 아버지로 든든한 정신적 지주가 되어준 알프레도는 청년이 된 토토가 사랑하는 여자 엘레나의 부모님의 반대로 좌절하자 넓은 세상으로 나가서 더 많은 것을 배우라며 권유하는데...

So one night Teresa is involved, in spite of herself, in a whirlwind of ambiguous situations, together with Ferdinando and Friariello, met by chance, between camorristi, dog races and a bingo of which he unknowingly becomes the prize. Vaguely inspired to the real story of boss of the Camorra's bosses Raffaele Cutolo, this is the story of the criminal career of "Il professore" (the professor). He is in prison, and by there he is able to build, step by step, an empire founded on murders and drugs. He starts a war to destroy all the old Camorra bosses and becoming the new "boss of the bosses". With his sister's help he manages to evade from prison and escape in New York. Here he starts immediately a new relationship with "Cosa Nostra" (Italian American Mafia). He is going to seat on the peak of the most powerful criminal organization, and the Italian authorities are almost impotent.

Eccentric and full of manias, Michele is a young high school professor who defines himself as “not used to happiness”. He realizes his life is meaningless if he doesn’t have a woman by his side but, after a series of rather disastrous experiences, he feels more alone than ever. Then, out of the blue, a new French teacher called Bianca arrives at school. Amongst uncertainties and contradictions, the two start dating. In the meantime, a series of homicides take place and a police officer begins to suspect that Michele is involved. Bianca will save him providing an alibi at the right moment, but then, everything goes wrong again.

Michele criticizes the film industry and its inhabitants, and is particularly embattled with a Neapolitan director making a musical about the 1968 student demonstrations. At the same time, Michele has a creative block and struggles to finish his film titled "Freud’s Mother." Nanni Moretti’s self-inquiry into filmmaking, political ennui, and men’s relations with their mothers.

A couple arrive in an off-season Cesenatico but they quickly split up after a bad argument. The girl then settles in an uninhabited flat with a photographer she met before and with whom she has an affair. His ex gets kidnapped by three amateur robbers. Both stories end with a dramatic and grotesque epilogue.

The drawbacks and difficulties of military life are explored in this film. Paolo Passeri is a college graduate, somewhat spoiled, somewhat effete, who finds himself in an officer training program under the stern martinet, Captain Asciutto. He gradually becomes acclimated to the military mind-set, and when the Captain's wife decides to take a romantic interest in him, he does not report her dangerous peculiarities to anyone.

A second coming? This time our savior chose a shantytown outside Turin, in the north of Italy, overcrowded by poor families coming from the south in search of a job in a factory, or less legal ways to survive. Young Maria (Cinzia De Carolis) can predict the future during her epileptic seizures, or at least that's what everyone believes, and her mother (Clelia Matania) sells her predictions and responses to the superstitious neighbors, after inducing her "trance" with electricity. One night the shock is too strong, and Maria seems to die: when she wakes up, she is found pregnant. And being a honest unmarried girl from the south, she is obviously still virgin... Notwithstanding the opposition of the local priest (Turi Ferro), everyone, including her, believes in the miracle, and prepares for a second coming, in a crescendo of fanaticism that is soon noticed by the press, and by the official church..
