the movie's intended runtime was 100 minutes but there was bad business with the Italian producer. Cinecitta kidnapped some film rolls until the French paid their share of this Latvia/France/Italy co-production but the French producer went bankrupt in the meantime...So Guy Gilles was forced to make a 70 minutes edit with the rolls he had and allegedly he also rushed off the French dubbing. So the 93 minutes version include some missing footages and the original audio but it was not edited by the director who died in 1996 and never got access to the missing rolls.

An issue of the television series La vie filmée, based on films by amateur filmmakers, and retracing here the life of the French between 1946 and 1953. The images shot in the immediate post-war period bear witness to the difficulties of resuming life daily. Confronting individuals with their personal archives nearly thirty years later, the film nostalgically questions the gap created between intimate memory and empirical memory (documents).

The producers of this French film took approximately 100 people, put them on a soundstage and had them improvise this film based on the premise that they are on a spaceship escaping from the dictators of earth and only have a few days to live. Improvisation is a dangerous art-form; unprepared amateurs invariably come up with gross caricatures when challenged to improvise. The actors' choices in this film include an allegorical pageant of the life of Jesus, a marriage, an orgy, and some genuinely affectionate moments. Nonetheless, as an experimental effort in large-group improvisation, the film is instructive.

A young man finds some fifty letters and a notebook forgotten in an old abandoned farm in Vans in Ardèche . Back in Paris, he discovers that it is a love correspondence between a young peasant girl and a captain during the 14-18 war. The film recreates this love story, with images of Paris and old Le Havre in the background.

An experimental arrangement of austerely executed but intensely hallucinatory episodes that build into a nightmarish fever of isolation and hopelessness.
Cinematography
This colorful documentary chronicles the events of the 1968 Winter Olympics in France. The events made international celebrities of skater Peggy Fleming and skier Jean-Claude Killy for their gold-medal performances. The camera accurately catches the speed of bobsleds and downhill racers and ski jumpers as they race for the gold. President Charles DeGaulle is shown observing the action over 13 days, which saw France earn the best performance to date in the winter games.
