Evidentemente, el título en inglés de esta película es irónico. Primero porque Ole Bornedal, el hombre tras La sombra de la noche, jamás podrá ser un director convencional. Segundo, porque Just another love story no tiene nada de filme romántico al uso. La premisa es parecida a la de aquella comedia algo bobalicona, Mientras dormías. Un hombre casado y con hijos tiene una vida placentera, hasta el día que sufre un espectacular accidente de coche. Él queda ileso, pero la chica del otro vehículo cae en coma. El hombre la va a visitar y empieza a hacerse pasar por su novio frente a sus familiares...

Only Hugo has kind of borrowed the money and blown it all on a wrong bet in a pigeon race. Together, they obviously have to get rich quick. When a diamond seems to be lying around for the taking, the hotel is virtually on its head.
