In a big city of Busan, twin brothers were left in the orphanage after the tragic death of their parents. Taeju, the older brother, becomes a cop and Taesung, the younger one, holds a significant position in the local gang. Their ironic fate adds up to have both of them love the same girl, Chanmi. As the feud between two different gangs surrounding the casino heats up, Taesung’s best friend betrays him and places him in a trap. As police line approaches, Taeju comes to persuade Taesung to surrender but first they have to face the truth about the traumatic incident which caused them to drift apart.

Several Questions That Make Us Happy is composed of six different stories in a omnibus way, describing mondern society's loneliness, misunderstanding between couples, trust with others, courtesy between lovers, and self-centered blame for others, etc. It is based on the sincere question why we are so unhappy and how I can make happiness.

En el año 927, el equilibrio en el poder ha sido golpeado en Corea. El reino está siendo invadido por los Cuchillos asesinos. A pesar de tener personalidades muy distintas, físicamente Park Myung-su y Park Hyun-su son idénticos puesto que son gemelos. Pero por un lado Hyun-su tiene grandes aspiraciones, y decide estudiar leyes en Seúl. Myung-su por su parte no dedica su vida a nada bueno y se limita a poner orden en las calles de su zona y a veces ayuda en el negocio de la familia. La madre de los gemelos se desvive por Hyun-su, pues confía en que el sacará adelante el nombre de la familia, y en este afán de ayudar a su hijo con más futuro, obliga a Myung-su a sacrificarse por su hermano. De esta forma Myung-su tiene que suplantar a su hermano en las circunstancias de mas riesgo. Los años pasan y quizás ha llegado el momento de que el exitoso Hyun-su devuelva los favores recibidos.

Sang-hwan es un policía humilde que patrulla por las calles. Es patoso, con tendencia a su-frir más accidentes y tropiezos que el resto de compañeros. No se cree que tenga ningún poder especial, pero cuando se hace amigo de un grupo de cinco ancianos éstos se dan cuenta de su potencial y lo reclutan para formarlo y que pueda salvar el equilibrio del mundo frente al diablo. Esto se produce en el mejor momento posible ya que un viejo villano se ha despertado de una larga, larga hibernación con el objetivo de buscar la clave hacia el máximo nirvana y así extender su poder sobre el mundo entero.
