『ブレイド2』や超大作『ヘルボーイ』の成功でハリウッドでも注目を集めるメキシコの異才、ギレルモ・デル・トロ監督がスペインに招かれて撮ったホラー映画。激情型の男を演じたスペインのビッグスター、『オープン・ユア・アイズ』のエドゥアルド・ノリエガや、新星フェルナンド・ティエルブの熱演も見ものだ。ヨーロッパの血塗られた歴史と風土に培われた、怨念のすさまじさが霊を生息させ、さらに恐怖の結末を招く。

破壊神からニューヨークを救った彼らだったが、破壊した建物などの賠償金を市と州より請求された上、数々の違法行為の責任を押し付けられ「ゴーストバスターズ」社は破産してしまい、依頼もぱったりと来なくなった。市民も彼らと超常現象を忘れ去り、4人組もそれぞれ別の道を歩んでいた。

ノーマンとクレアはごく普通のカップルのようです。 彼は遺伝学の教授であり、彼女は主婦です。 彼女の娘の大学退学によってクレアに残された空白は、奇妙な出来事が神秘的に家で発生し始めるので、彼女にとって二次的な関心事になりつつあります。 物体は落下し、ドアは自分で開き、誰も触れずにラジオをオンにします。クレアは家が霊に取りつかれていると考え、この奇妙な出来事を掘り下げることにします。

アイオワ州の田舎町に住むレイ・キンセラは貧乏農夫。若い頃に父親と口論の末に家を飛び出して以来、父の顔を見る事も、口をきく事すらもなかったことを悔やんでいた。ある日、彼はトウモロコシ畑を歩いていると謎の声「それを造れば、彼が来る」と耳にする。彼は、周囲の人々があざ笑うのをよそに生活の糧であるトウモロコシ畑を切り開き、小さな野球場を造り上げる。

長期入院から帰ってきた仲の良い姉妹（イム・スジョン、ムン・グニョン）を、若く美しい継母ウンジュ（ヨム・ジョンア）が迎える。冷ややかな継母の表情に敵意を覚えるスミ。やがて、家のあちこちで怪奇現象が起き始める……。

Dahlia Williams and her daughter Cecelia move into a rundown apartment on New York's Roosevelt Island. She is currently in midst of divorce proceedings and the apartment, though near an excellent school for her daughter, is all she can afford. From the time she arrives, there are mysterious occurrences and there is a constant drip from the ceiling in her daughter's bedroom.

In a rural village in Thailand, Mak is sent to fight in a war and leaves his pregnant wife, Nak. Mak is injured and barely survives. He returns home to his doting wife and child, or so he thinks.

In the Sengoku period, a woman and her daughter are raped and murdered by soldiers during a time of civil war. Afterwards, a series of samurai returning from the war through that area are found mysteriously dead with their throats torn out. The governor calls in a wild and fierce young hero to quell what is evidently an Onryō ghost. He encounters the two beautiful women in an eerie, beautiful scene. After spiritual purification, he meets the demon in a thrilling fight.

観葉植物販売会社「サニープラント販売」で同僚の田口が自殺してからというもの、ミチの周辺では身近な人たちが次々と黒い影を残し姿を消していってしまった。 同じ頃、大学生の亮介は、”ウラヌス”というプロパイダでパソコンで噂で聞いていた「幽霊に会いたいですか」と問う奇妙なサイトにアクセスしてしまう。 次々と黒い影を残し消える人たち。不気味に変容しはじめる世界。亮介が思いを寄せていた春江も不可解な行動をとり始める。 赤いテープに囲われたアパートのドアを見つめて佇む作業員が何かをしてしまったことが始りのようだった。 親しいものたちが消えてゆき日常が崩壊していく中、ミチと亮介は出会い、共に逃避しようとするが寸前、亮介にも危険が及んでしまう。ミチはそれでも亮介を連れ、幽かな希望目指して船出するのだった。

Soon after Ji-won gets a new cell phone, her friend's young daughter, Yeong-ju, puts it to her ear and immediately begins screaming in terror. When other strange things start happening in connection with the phone, Ji-Won does some investigating and discovers that of the people before her who had the same number, almost all of them died suddenly under unusual circumstances. As Yeong-ju's behavior becomes increasingly alarming, Ji-won digs deeper into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the number's first owner, a high school girl named Jin-hie.

The story follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps, who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true identity.
