In 1967, Cuban documentary filmmaker Octavio Cortazar followed a projectionist whose mission was to show moving pictures to rural communities for the first time. Cortazar’s short film documents one audience’s response to its first film: Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times.
アッテンボロー監督による、喜劇王チャーリー・チャップリンの生涯を描いた作品。映画は、チャップリンが幼少の頃から、名門カルノー一座の看板俳優時代、そしてハリウッドでの映画製作、富と名声を得、やがて映画「チャップリンの独裁者」の製作に纏わる国外追放、終戦後のアメリカへの帰国から白髪のはえるまで、彼の一生を克明に追って行きながら、その中での孤独、悲しみ、苦しみ、さらには母、兄弟、恋人などの彼に関わる人物をも含み、チャップリンの人生の軌跡を描いてゆく。
1933年、大恐慌がピークに達した米国各地で、仲間たちと銀行強盗などの事件を次々と起こし続けるデリンジャー。銀行嫌いの国民から応援されつつも、FBIのフーバー長官は彼を“社会の敵（パブリック・エネミー）No.1”とし、敏腕捜査官パーヴィスをFBIシカゴ支局長に就任させ、デリンジャー逮捕をめざす。一方、デリンジャーは町で出会った女性ビリーに魅了され、彼の強引なまでの口説きっぷりに彼女もまた彼に惹かれていく。
イタリアの名匠ジュゼッペ・トルナトーレによる、映画史に残る至高の名作。イタリアのシチリアを舞台に、少年と映写技師が映画を通して心を通わせていく様を、感動的な音楽と繊細な人物描写で描き出す。映画監督のサルヴァトーレ（ジャック・ペラン）は、映写技師のアルフレード（フィリップ・ノワレ）という老人が死んだという知らせを受け、故郷のシチリアに帰郷する。

1941年、ナチス占領下のフランスの田舎町で、家族を虐殺されたユダヤ人のショシャナはランダ大佐の追跡を逃れる。一方、“イングロリアス・バスターズ”と呼ばれるレイン中尉率いる連合軍の極秘部隊は、次々とナチス兵を血祭りにあげていた。やがて彼らはパリでの作戦を実行に移す。
