妖精たちの棲むピクシーホロウは、秋の到来を祝う「秋の祭典」の準備に取り掛かっていた。ティンカー・ベルは、クラリオン女王と秋の大臣から月の石を納める聖なる杖を作ることを任された。しかし、テレンスと口論したはずみに完成間近だった聖なる杖を壊してしまう。その後、妖精の粉を生み出すための大切な宝物である月の石まで壊してしまう。壊れた月の石を復活させるため、インカンタの魔法の鏡を探しにティンカー・ベルは旅に出る。

ピクシー・ホロウのはずれに冬の森があると聞いたティンカー・ベルは、禁じられた境界線を越えて冬の森を訪れ、そこで自分にそっくりな冬の妖精ペリウィンクルと出会う。仲良くなった二人は、お互いの住む村や森に相手を誘うようになるのだが、そんな行動がピクシー・ホロウに重大な危機を招くことになるなど、まったく気がついていなかった。

ネバーランドの妖精の谷、ピクシー・ホロウにティンカー・ベルというかわいらしい妖精が誕生する。自然界に起こる“すばらしい事”は特別な才能を持った妖精たちの仕事だったが、彼女は自分がどんな才能を持って生まれてきたのかまだ知らず、やがて人間界の運命が自分の小さな手に委ねられることにも気付いていなかった。
