心に傷を負った流れ者ポールが「バレー・オブ・バイオレンス」と呼ばれる町デントンにたどり着く。その町で些細な事で悪徳保安官補佐ギリーとトラブルになり町を出るが、ギリーに寝込みを襲われて愛犬を殺され、自身も殺されかける。ポールは復讐を誓いデントンに舞い戻る。そして、血の雨の降る激闘が始まるのだった。
