When a woman's father goes missing, she enlists a local to aid in her search. The pair soon discover that her father has died at the hands of a wealthy sportsman who hunts homeless men as a form of recreation.

第2次世界大戦の1941年。ナチスドイツに占領されたフランスのラ・ロシェルの港から、出撃命令によって出航する潜水艦U96にヴェルナー（ヘルバート・グリューネマイヤー）が乗り込む。ベテランの艦長（ユルゲン・プロフノウ）や乗組員に囲まれながら、荒れた海での過酷な哨戒、次々と爆雷を放ってくる敵駆逐艦との攻防、海の藻くずと化していく敵の姿など、戦争の現実を次々と目の当たりにするヴェルナー。そんな中、U96に新たな命令が下される。

スマトラ海峡から3150キロ沖。“すべて失った……すまない”という男のつぶやきが響く……。 ことの起こりは８日前。インド洋をヨットで単独航海中の男は水音で眠りから覚める。気が付けば、船室に浸水が。海上を漂流していたコンテナが激突し、ヨットに横穴が開いてしまったようだ。航法装置は故障し、無線もラップトップも水浸しで使い物にならない。しかし、この災難は始まりに過ぎなかった。

Enchanted by the idea of locating treasure buried by Captain Flint, Squire Trelawney, Dr. Livesey and Jim Hawkins charter a sailing voyage to a Caribbean island. Unfortunately, a large number of Flint's old pirate crew are aboard the ship, including Long John Silver.

The story of the HMS Torrin, from it's construction to its sinking in the Mediterranean during action in World War II. The ship's first and only commanding officer is Captain E.V. Kinross, who trains his men not only to be loyal to him and the country, but—most importantly—to themselves.
