His Broadway career spanned the years 1911 through 1937, while his film career, that included more than 100 movies, stretched from 1921 to his death in 1948. Brown additionally, in 1914, wrote and directed one short film, The Bank Burglar's Fate.

Peggy Shannon acquits herself nicely in her first major role, but by the end of the decade her career was in decline.
