前作で息絶えたチャッキーだったが、アンディとグッドガイ人形の事件が全国で取り上げられグッドガイ人形の製造元は人気が低迷した。チャッキーを復元して人形に異常はないということを証明しようとしていたのだが、人形にはまだ凶悪殺人鬼の魂が残っていた。元に戻ったチャッキーは再び魂を取るためアンディを探しにいくのであった。
