「モンスター上司」のジェイソン・ベイトマンと「きみに読む物語」のレイチェル・マクアダムスが夫婦役で共演し、謎解きゲーム中に本物の犯罪に巻き込まれてしまった人々を描いたコメディドラマ。ゲーム好きな夫婦マックスとアニーは、週に1度、友人たちと集まって様々なゲームに興じていた。ある日、彼らはマックスの兄ブルックスが企画した謎解きゲームをすることになるが、そこへ覆面姿の男たちが侵入してきてブルックスを誘拐してしまう。しかし参加者たちは演出だと勘違いし、ゲームを攻略するべくブルックスの行方を追うが……。
