The closed microcosm of garage co-ops, where the socio-economic environment has blended with personal space, provides a step back in time. Men are still boys, but their tinkering is both the trade and hobby of individual entrepreneurs, since self-exploitation as leisure time activity is a time capsule where neoliberalism has enclosed the postindustrial proletariat. Inventors, geniuses, crazy scientists, and men with golden hands - you will find them in garages.
ハイスクールの美少女が惨殺された。犯人はもちろん“ハロウィン・マスク”をかぶった殺人鬼に決まっているが、「スクリーム」を観ていない主人公たちはそんなこと知るはずもない。ちょうど1年前、友人たちと車で人を轢いたシンディは、事件の奇妙なつながりに不安を覚える。そして、マスコミの取材攻勢でハイスクールがパニックになるなか、第2、第3の殺人が…。「ホラー映画じゃあるまいし（笑）」。笑い事ですむワケがない。だってホラー映画だもーん。
クマのブーグは、パークレンジャーのベスに育てられている甘えん坊のペット。彼はある日、ハンターのショーに捕らえられたお調子者のシカ、エリオットに出会う。そして、エリオットに必死に頼み込まれたブーグは、彼を助けてあげることに。しかし、しつこく付きまとってくるエリオットと行動を共にするうち、あちこちで問題を引き起こしてしまったブーグは、エリオットと一緒に森に放り出されてしまうハメに。慣れない自然界を抜け出して町へ戻ろうとするブーグとエリオットだが、執拗に追ってきたショーから逃げるのに四苦八苦の毎日。やがて“オープン・シーズン（狩猟解禁日）”が到来、ブーグは他の動物たちと共に、またしても銃を手に姿を現わしたショーに立ち向かうことになる。
カンザスから自分が住むボストンに帰ろうとしていたジューンは航空機で、ロイと名乗る男性と近くの席になる。しかし、彼女が化粧室に入った瞬間、ロイは機内に潜んでいた敵の一味と乱闘になり、席に戻ってきたジューンに自分がパイロットを殺したことを告げ、飛行機を不時着させる。以来、ジューンが危険な目に遭う度、ロイはどこからともなく彼女の救出に現われるように。そんなロイは自分がCIAから追われる身だというが……？
