舞台は1936年。プリンストン大学で教鞭を執る高名な考古学者インディアナ・ジョーンズ教授（インディ）には、世界中の宝物を探し発見するというトレジャーハンターとしての顔があった。ある日、陸軍諜報部よりインディの下にナチス・ドイツがタニスの遺跡を発見して聖櫃（アーク）の発掘に着手したという情報が舞い込む。また情報部が傍受したドイツ軍の電報によれば、聖櫃の在り処を示す重大な手がかりラーの杖飾りはインディの恩師であるアブナー・レイヴンウッド教授の手にあるという。何としてでもナチスより先に聖櫃を手に入れろとの依頼を受け、インディは聖櫃の争奪戦に臨む。

This is a story of a 17-year-old boy named Hari Rai, who lives in a small village in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal, and his extraordinary journey. Hari is a student. Satyajit Ray's poetic documentary was commissioned by the Chogyal (King) of Sikkim at a time when he felt the sovereignty of Sikkim was under threat from both China and India. Ray's documentary is about the sovereignty of Sikkim. The film was banned by the government of India when Sikkim merged with India in 1975. The ban was finally lifted by the Ministry of External Affairs in September 2010.

Buenos Aires, 1933: Juana Romero, a seamstress who lives for the music of Gardel, dumps her boyfriend Gustavo for Renzo, a singer who looks like Gardel. She insists that his trio performs Gardel's tangos, which leads to Renzo recording a Ford commercial when Gardel himself is overbooked. The trio, with Joanna in tow, goes on an ill-fated tour of points north. The couple breaks up: she goes home and he tries to get to New York. This is an adaptation of the Japanese film Ju Jin Yuki Otoko with added American-made footage, narration and music track.
