身長10センチの小さなアリエッティ一家は、人間が住む家の床下で、さまざまな生活品をこっそり借りて暮らしていた。彼らの掟は「決して人間に見られてはいけない」ということ。しかし、アリエッティはその家に引越してきた少年・翔に自分の姿を見られてしまう。

A group of friends take refuge in a deserted sanatorium after they are left stranded in a snowstorm. Later, the place becomes a death trap when man-eating cannibals surround them.

ホビット族の青年ビルボ・バギンズは、魔法使いのガンダルフや屈強なドワーフの一行と共に、たった一頭で一国を滅亡に導くと伝えられる邪悪な竜スマウグに奪われたドワーフの王国を奪取すべく旅に出る。竜の潜む山を目指す道中、巨大なクモの大群や凶暴なオークたちが一行の行く手を阻むように次々と立ちはだかる。

反乱同盟軍のルークとレイア姫は、悪党ジャバ・ザ・ハットに身柄を奪われた仲間のハン・ソロを奪回すると、帝国軍との決戦に備える。ルークは帝国の皇帝もいる新たな基地衛星、第2デス・スターが軌道上に浮かぶ森の惑星エンドアに潜入。住民イウォーク族を味方につけるのに成功する。だがそこへ帝国の最新兵器陣も到着。やがてルークは、かつて自分がルークの父親だと言い放った宿敵ダース・ベイダーと再会し、最後の対決に挑むのであった。

舞台は1000年前の北欧。大使として辺境の地を訪れた詩人アハメッドはバイキングの傭兵たちと出会うが、彼らの故郷が危機に瀕していることを知る。巫女のお告げで13人の戦士が選ばれるが、アハメッドもその中に含まれていた。霧深い森に分け入った一行は、そこで創造を絶する魔物と遭遇する……。

警官相手に戦い服役中だったランボーは、元上官トラウトマンから特殊任務に就くことを条件に釈放された。特殊任務とは、ベトナム戦争で行方不明になったアメリカ人兵士と捕虜の動向を調査すること。戦闘は一切不要で、情報収集だけの任務だった。ところが捕虜収容所で米兵の拷問を目撃したランボーは、指令に背いて米兵を救出。その後、彼らは国境近くまで逃げ延びるが、米軍のヘリコプターはふたりを見殺しにして去ってしまう。

ジェレミット、キャサリン、メイス、シンデルの親子は母星を離れ宇宙船で飛行中、エンドアという星に不時着。そのうえジェレミットとキャサリンは森でゴラックスという怪物に捕らえられてしまう。あとには幼い兄妹メイスとシンデルが残されるが、幸いエンドアの住人であるイウォークに救われ命拾い。心優しく聡明なイウォークたちは2人に食料や薬を与え、両親がゴラックスに捕らえられた事実まで探り出す。両親の危機を知り、何としても救いに行きたいメイスとシンデル。イウォークたちもその熱意に打たれ危険を承知で同行を決意する。

物語は、娘の雪が、母である花の半生を語るかたちで綴られる。 東京のはずれにある国立大学に通う、女子大生の花は、大学の教室でとある男と出会い、恋に落ちる。その男は自分がニホンオオカミの末裔、「おおかみおとこ」であることを告白するが、花はそれを受け入れ2人の子供を産む。産まれた姉「雪」と弟「雨」は狼に変身できる「おおかみこども」であった。しかし雨の出産直後、男は亡くなってしまう。花は2人の「おおかみこども」の育児に追われるが、都会ではたびたび狼に変身してしまう雪と雨を育てるのは難しく、山奥の古民家に移住する。 人の目を気にすることなく山奥で姉弟は育っていく。蛇や猪をも恐れない活発で狼になるのが好きな雪に対し、弟の雨は内向的であったが、やがて雪は小学校に通うようになり、狼にならないように気をつけ、人間として生きていく。一方で雨は小学校に馴染めず、山に入っては狼となって、一匹の狐を「先生」と呼び彼から山で生きる術を学んでいく。

森の奥にある父親の家にやって来たメアリーは、偶然森の王国に住む小さな女王に出会い、自分までもが小さくなってしまう。自然豊かな王国を守るには、王位継承の日にある花のつぼみを開花させなければならない。ところが、森を滅ぼそうとする悪の勢力がそれを阻止しようとしていた。メアリーはひょんなことから森の運命を託される。

A sudden and mysterious inheritance brings Danny and his friends to Hobb Springs, a forgotten resort deep in the West Virginia hills. Hobb Springs is being looked after under the watchful care of Jackson and Sally, a socially awkward couple who introduce Danny to the long lost family he's never known. A clan by the name of Hillicker. But soon Danny learns his relatives have a different way of living, that for generations, the Hillickers have observed ancient traditions rooted in cannibalism and other taboo rituals.

He may not have broken dramatic new ground in the same way as his musical colleagues Liszt and Wagner, who invented new genres. Instead, his innovations took place at the mircro-level – within music’s inner palm. In this respect Brahms was far ahead of his time – and this fact explains what half a century later Arnold Schoenberg regards him as “progressive” and was referring to him for his own compositional theory.

When Guillaume Valmont dies in a car accident, the only thing he leaves his wife Isabelle is his pharmacy. She never loved her older husband and she regards his death as a deliverance. At the funeral, she meets Judith, widow too, and she soon realises that her husband had been leading a double life. A short while later, the pharmacy is broken into, but nothing is stolen. Police Inspector Laforêt is put in charge of the case. Isabelle becomes suspicious when Judith offers to buy the pharmacy.

Zawinul is onstage with the WDR Big Band from Germany and a special international rhythm section. The music is a tribute to the pioneering 1970s fusion collective Weather Report, originally with Wayne Shorter on sax, Zawinul on keys, and later Jaco Pastorius on bass (among other personnel). Zawinul and the WDR play "Brown Street" and "Carnavalito." Arranger Vince Mendoza re-imagines this colorful, small-group music for Europe's longest-lived jazz orchestra. And they can play!

On Nov. 30, 2014, many of the food world’s biggest names arrived at 50 Clinton Street in the city’s Lower East Side. They came for the last supper at wd-50. Dufresne’s playful, challenging restaurant closed its doors for good that night. The restaurant was a victim of his own success: by bringing three-star cuisine to a once gritty neighborhood Dufresne helped drive up the area’s prices and welcome in luxury development. His landlord had decided to turn the restaurant into an apartment building. During its last days, wd-50 opened its doors to TIME’s cameras, providing a rare glimpse into its final service and its dismantling.
