身長10センチの小さなアリエッティ一家は、人間が住む家の床下で、さまざまな生活品をこっそり借りて暮らしていた。彼らの掟は「決して人間に見られてはいけない」ということ。しかし、アリエッティはその家に引越してきた少年・翔に自分の姿を見られてしまう。
