ロサンゼルス市警察本部捜査第一課のリッグス部長刑事とマータフ部長刑事はFBIの要請で、麻薬事件の重要証人である会計士のレオ・ゲッツを保護する。ヒットマンの襲撃から守り通したことで、ゲッツと打ち解けたリッグスとマータフは麻薬組織のボスの情報を聞き出し、同僚の刑事たちとボスの邸宅へ踏み込む。だが、そのボスの正体はラッドという南アフリカ総領事で治外法権のため逮捕も拘留もできない。ラッドは、警察の捜査を止めさせるために、手下にマータフの自宅を襲撃させるなどの脅迫を始めた。それでも捜査をやめないリッグスとマータフに業を煮やしたラッドは、2人の同僚である刑事達を次々と暗殺していく。

After thief Alex Cardo gets caught while stealing an ancient katana in East Asia, he soon finds himself imprisoned and beaten up by the crowd there. One of the guards, Demon, feels upset by Alex appearance and tortures him as often as he gets the opportunity. Alex finds a friend and mentor in the jailhouse, Master Sun, who teaches him a superior fighting style called Iron Hand. When a 'best of the best kumite' is to take place, Demon gets an invitation. Now Master Sun and Alex need to find a way to let Alex take part in the kumite too.

Yarennoka! was a MMA event that took place on December 31, 2007 at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The event was promoted by the Yarrenoka! Executive Committee, composed of former Pride Fighting Championships executives, and held in association with FEG, DEEP, and M-1 Global. It was headlined by a fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Hong-Man Choi. The undercard showcased many top lightweight fighters and was also marked by a marquee matchup of the Pride 2006 Welterweight Grand Prix Champion Kazuo Misaki and the Hero's 2006 Light Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion Yoshihiro Akiyama.The event was a farewell show to Pride fans after their acquisition by the Ultimate Fighting Championship in early 2007. K-1 World MAX 2003 Champions Challenge was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. The event was held in Tokyo at the Nippon Budokan, on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. It was a one match showcase event, featuring ten world's best martial artists against Japan's top kickboxers, all fights were fought under K-1 Rules (70 kg/152 lb weight class). In total there were twenty fighters, from seven different countries. The main event featured local favourite Masato against Vince Phillips.

The event was called K-1 Dynamite! by K-1 and PRIDE Shockwave by PRIDE Fighting Championships', though in Japan it was simply called Dynamite!. K-1 World MAX 2006 World Championship Final was the fifth K-1 World MAX final for middleweight kickboxers (70 kg/154 lb weight class), involving eight finalists and two reserve fighters, with all bouts fought under K-1 rules. Seven of the finalists had won elimination fights at the K-1 World MAX 2005 World Tournament Open, while the eighth, Virgil Kalakoda, had been invited despite losing his elimination match. The two reserve fighters had qualified via preliminary tournaments; Artur Kyshenko had won the K-1 East Europe MAX and Rayen Simson had won the K-1 MAX Netherlands. As well as tournament matches there were also a two opening fights and two super fights fought under K-1 rules (middleweight and heavyweight).

Originally, Gilbert Melendez was scheduled to compete in the Grand Prix but was forced out with a leg injury and replaced by Rani Yahya. Also, Yoshihisa Yamamoto was set to face Wakashoyo at the event but was ordered by doctors not to compete due to a strained back. Kazuhiro Hamanaka took his place instead.
