サーカス団のメス象、ジャンボが授かった子象はダンボと名付けられるが、他の象よりも大きい耳を持っていたため、象仲間たちから仲間外れにされてしまう。そんなダンボの友達になったネズミのティモシーは彼をなぐさめようと、ダンボに空を飛んでみるよう勧める。空を飛べるようになったダンボは、たちまちサーカスの人気者になる。

恐るべきあの出来事から４年。悪魔祓いで救われたリーガンはすっかり平穏な生活を取り戻したかに見えた。だがある日、彼女の中にまだ悪魔が棲みついていることが判明する。一方、教会当局から派遣されたラモント神父は、メリン神父の行いの真偽を含め４年前の事件の調査を開始。そしてリーガンに会った彼は、彼女の記憶から、メリンが昔アフリカで少年の悪魔祓いを行なったことを突き止める。
