Shown in 3-D only at the Selwyn Theater in New York City, it was previewed as Mars Calling at a trade and press screening on 13 October 1922, premiered as M.A.R.S. on 27 December 1922, and ran through 20 January 1923. タイムズスクウェア協会の副会長クレア（ヒラリー・スワンク）は、この年越しイベントを初めて取り仕切るので、本番当日を迎え心配で落ち着かない。イベント会場となるタイムズスクウェアは、ニューヨーク市警察に警備され、ワン・タイムズスクウェアのクレアのもとにも市警察のブレンダン（リュダクリス）がついている。大晦日を迎えたクレアには他の心配事もあり、以前からの友人でもあるブレンダンはそこもうまく取り計らうつもりである。
