夏休みのある日、10代の少女オクジュは、父親が事業に失敗したため、弟ドンジュと一緒に緑が生い茂る大きな庭のある祖父の家に引っ越した。しかし、そこには母親の姿はなかった。大きな居間とステレオセット、風が通る2階の窓際に置かれたミシン。日本の“昭和”のような懐かしい空気の家。弟は新しい環境にすぐ馴染むが、オクジュはどこか居心地の悪さを感じている。オクジュの逃げ道は、同級生との淡い恋模様。だがそこに離婚寸前の叔母まで住みつき始め、一つ屋根の下に三世代が集まり、オクジュにとって、自分と家族のあり方を初めて意識せざるを得ない、ひと夏の日々が始まった。
