まもなく我が子が誕生するマンモスのマニーは、パパになる準備に夢中。一方、サーベルタイガーのディエゴは平和ボケしてしまった自分を見つめ直すため、一人旅を決意。そんな彼らに取り残され、寂しさを感じていたナマケモノのシドはある時、氷に開いた穴に落ちてしまう。すると、そこで３つの卵を発見。家族が欲しいシドは、それらを持ち帰り育てることにするが、生まれてきたのは、なんとティラノサウルスの子どもだった。

巨大隕石の衝突で地表が果てしない荒野と化した白亜紀の地球。イグアノドンのアラダー、キツネザルのプリオら生き残った恐竜や動物たちは、どこか生存に適した場所を求めて旅を続け、同じように移動していた草食恐竜の群れと出会う。その群れは、どこかにあるという伝説の楽園“生命の大地”を目指していた。一団に合流したアラダーたちだが、やがて彼らは、弱者を容赦なく切り捨てるリーダーのクローンのやり方に反発を覚える。

Set halfway through the 17th century, a church play is performed for the benefit of the young aristocrat Cosimo. In the play, a grotesque old woman gives birth to a beautiful baby boy. The child's older sister is quick to exploit the situation, selling blessings from the baby, and even claiming she's the true mother by virgin birth. An old shepherd lives his last days in a quiet medieval village perched high on the hills of Calabria, at the southernmost tip of Italy. He herds goats under skies that most villagers have deserted long ago. He is sick, and believes to find his medicine in the dust he collects on the church floor, which he drinks in his water every day.
