After experiencing a certain void when the premier of their film “The Third Pole” was cancelled due to the Pandemic. The film makers decided to go on a journey with their cameraman Andri Haraldsson and capture those strange times.

“In these times when things are not “normal,” I wanted to document the sensations I’ve been feeling. I invited a few of my musician friends to do this with me. The people falling asleep in this film are all his friends, he sent cameras to friends and asked them to shoot. Apichatpong often carries Digital Harinezumi camera with him, and completing a lot of works with this camera. This work was first exhibited at the WATARI Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo (Japan, 2017).

Yellow Magic Orchestra, who has almost never done a studio live, played "RYDEEN", "FIRECRACKER", "COSMIC SURFIN", and others, in front of about 1,000 spectators selected by lottery. The album is named "UTAU" because Onuki spins words to Sakamoto's songs and sings them. In a dystopicly polluted rightwing religious tyranny, a young woman is put in sexual slavery on account of her now rare fertility.

The 1986 Eurythmics tour of Japan. It is the end of the world tour during which Annie Lennox (vocals) and Dave Stewart (guitar) promote their latest album "Revenge". It is also, between concerts, the shock of discovery: a world of sounds as cultivated by the Japanese, both brutally technological and highly refined traditional expressions.

1950年。第二次世界大戦の終結による満州国の崩壊と国共内戦の終結により、共産主義国である中華人民共和国の一都市となったハルビン駅の構内。5年間にわたるソビエト連邦での抑留を解かれ、中華人民共和国に送還された「戦犯」達がごった返す中で、列から外れた1人の男が洗面所で自殺を試みる。男は監視人の手により一命を取り留めるものの、薄れ行く意識の中で幼い日々の頃を思い出していた。この男こそ清朝最後の皇帝にして満州国の皇帝、「ラスト・エンペラー」と呼ばれた愛新覚羅溥儀その人であった。

「失敗ばかり」「なにもしない軍隊」と揶揄され、世間に落第軍隊として見下されているオネアミス王立宇宙軍。宇宙軍士官・シロツグ・ラーダットは、欲望の場所でしかない歓楽街で献身的に布教活動を行う少女・リイクニ・ノンデライコとの出会いをきっかけにそれまでのその日暮らしの自堕落な生活を捨て、宇宙戦艦という名目の人類初の有人人工衛星打ち上げ計画に参加し宇宙を目指すことになる。 厳しい訓練や多額の税金・裏金を使う宇宙開発の意味、開発スタッフの事故死、敵国「共和国」からの刺客、リイクニとの気持ちのすれ違いを乗り越え精神的に成長していくシロツグの姿を描く。

北海道の大自然をバックに、ひょんなことから母猫とはぐれてしまった茶虎柄の子猫チャトランが、親友の子犬プー助と二匹で冒険の旅を続ける中で様々な動物との出会いや経験を通して成長していく姿を描く。

Originally commissioned by the Sony Corporation of Japan and performed live on the JumboTRON, a fourteen-story TV set at the Expo in Tsukuba, Japan, Adelic Penguins is a collaboration between Fitzgerald, artist Paul Garrin, and composer Ryuichi Sakamoto (who also appears as a performer). Structured in six segments, this technical tour-de-force is a pyrotechnic fusion of sound and image, in which the dynamic visual imagery fully complements and heightens Sakamoto's staccato, percussive score. Fitzgerald and Garrin merge terrestrial and interplanetary worlds, in which Sakamoto's figure becomes an integral part of the landscape. Set aloft in the surreal world of the artists' invention, Sakamoto dances, floats and walks through a hyperkinetic universe.

This ambitious live satellite link-up of Japan, Korea and the United States features interviews with Keith Haring and architect Arata Isozaki, and performances and works by Philip Glass and the Kodo Drummers, Charlotte Moorman, Nam June Paik, and Lou Reed. In an extraordinary section, a performance in Japan of classical Western music is accompanied by a group of Kabuki dancers.

On The Beach is a compilation of music from the Crown library, with sounds of ocean waves. The video version pairs the music and sounds with scenes of summer, featuring plenty of waves, sand, and much more

20 minute music documentary shot in two days of November 1984 in, and around the outskirts of, Tokyo, Japan. A large part of the music was completed during that same month and recorded over a period of three days.

A domestic live tour in 1981 when YMO released two masterpiece albums, "BGM" and "Technodelic". A live concert filmed at the Shinjuku Koma Theater, "WINTER LIVE 1981" focuses on songs from "BGM" and "Technodelic" and symbolizing the mid-term YMO catalogue along with artistic performing art. The audio is also remastered, giving the viewer a more realistic feel.
