略歴

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Scott Gorham (born William Scott Gorham on March 17, 1951 in Glendale, California) is an American guitarist and songwriter who rose to international recognition as one of the "twin lead guitarists" of the Irish-formed rock band, Thin Lizzy. Although not a founding member of Thin Lizzy, he is best known for his continuous membership after joining in 1974 through the band's breakup in 1984. Gorham and guitarist Brian Robertson, both hired at the same time, marked the beginning of the band's most critically successful period, and together developed the "twin lead guitar" makeup of the band that distinguished its sound with dual backing vocals as well. Since 1996 onward, with a different lineup, Gorham has continued to perform with Thin Lizzy on guitar and backing vocals, and, as in years past, he has contributed to the band with songwriting material written or co-written with other band members. Thin Lizzy: Bad Reputation
Affectionate but honest portrait of Thin Lizzy, arguably the best hard rock band to come out of Ireland. Starting with the remix of the classic album Jailbreak by Scott Gorham and Brian Downie, the film takes us through the rollercoaster ride that is the story of Thin Lizzy. From early footage of singer Phil Lynott in Ireland in his pre-Lizzy bands the Black Eagles and Orphanage, it follows his progress as he, guitarist Eric Bell and drummer Brian Downie form the basic three-piece that was to become Thin Lizzy - a name taken from the Beano. Using original interviews with Bell, Downie, the man who signed them and their first manager, it traces the early years leading to the recruitment of guitarists Brian 'Robbo' Robertson and Scott Gorham - the classic line-up. The film uses a number of stills, some seen on TV for the first time, archive from contemporary TV shows and a range of tracks both well known and not so famous.
Gary Moore & Friends: One Night in Dublin

On August 19th, 2005, on what would have been the eve of his 56th birthday, a statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled in Dublin’s Grafton Street by his mother. There to witness the event were members of Thin Lizzy from throughout the band’s career. The following evening, they joined forces under the leadership of Gary Moore for a concert that paid tribute to Lynott’s memory.
Heavy Metal: Louder Than Life
Himself
This documentary is a considered look at the continuing story of Metal, in the words of the people that make it, live it, breathe it and keep it vital. The Bands. The Fans, The Producers, The Industry and The Journalists. What makes it tick, why nothing else can touch it for power, emotion and longevity, why it's misunderstood, why it doesn't care, how it continues to upset the establishment, how it manipulates the media, the positivity, and the way it has forced it's iconography and ethos deep into an unsuspecting and unwilling mainstream.
Thin Lizzy: Masters from the Vault
Guitar
This is the very best of Thin Lizzy in performance. These rarely seen live performances by Thin Lizzy perfectly capture the band at their peak - on stage, hard and loud. Lizzy set the benchmark for live rock music which has never been equalled or surpassed. This unique film includes previously unreleased footage of Thin Lizzy in vintage performances from the key stages of their career. From the original line-up with Eric Bell through the classic Live and Dangerous era with Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson, and onto the very last incarnation of the band, this is why Lizzy has never been equalled as a live band. From such classics as 'The Boys Are Back In Town' and 'Whiskey In The Jar' to thundering versions of 'Massacre' and 'Sha-la-la', here is the proof which shows why Lizzy is so influential today and how they played their way to legendary status.
Thin Lizzy - Are You Ready Live At Rockpalast
Guitars
Filmed in front of a huge crowd at Germany's Rockpalast Festival, this 1981 Thin Lizzy performance is one of very few live DVD recordings out there that is an entire show. The band at the time consisted of Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, Darren Wharton and Snowy White (guitars) who was brought in a year or so earlier to replace Gary Moore for the Chinatown album. Renegade had just been released and the band was in the midst of a world tour in support of the album.
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
Guitar
Experience the power of Thin Lizzy live ! In October of 1978, more than 26.000 screaming fans packed the Sydney Opera House in Australia for an unforgettable concert by this monster rock 'n roll band. With blues master Gary Moore on guitar, and front man Phil Lynott blasting the bass line and singing his heart out, it's no wonder there was standing room only. The 70's were a time when four piece power bands ruled rock music, and Thin Lizzy was one of the best !
Thin Lizzy: Thunder and Lightning Tour
Himself
This is the long awaited 'Thunder And Lightning Tour'; the tour that was to prove Phil Lynott's and Thin Lizzy's last. The year is 1983, the venue Dublin and the stage is rockin'! To add to the already charged atmosphere of a concert in waiting, we have fast-forwarded in time to include nostalgic comment from Phil's band mates Brian Robertson and Eric Bell recalling their eventful times together, plus the indestructible footballing legend George Best and musician Brush Shiel, recalling their many memories of the rocker and friend. But all this is merely a prelude to what is a pulverising gig containing all conquering favourites such as 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'Dancing In The Moonlight' and many more. The 'Thunder And Lightning Tour' is quite simply the greatest performance from a group who were at their electrifying best.
