Hildur Ingveldardóttir Guðnadóttir (born 4 September 1982) is an Icelandic musician and composer. A classically trained cellist, she has played and recorded with the bands Pan Sonic, Throbbing Gristle, Múm and Stórsveit Nix Noltes, and has toured with Animal Collective and Sun O))). She has also produced solo works.
Hildur has gained international recognition for her film and television scores, including for the action thriller film Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018), and the HBO miniseries Chernobyl (2019), the latter of which won her a Primetime Emmy Award and a Grammy Award. For her score to the 2019 psychological thriller film Joker, Hildur won the Academy Award for Best Original Score. She also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, and the BAFTA Award for Best Original Music, making her the first solo female composer to win in both.

It’s estimated that 500 to 600 suicide attempts are made each year in Iceland, with a population of less than 370 000 people, and that between 30 and 50 people take their lives. We can’t keep quiet about these high numbers. Through people’s deeply intimate and touching stories, we try to understand what it means that someone takes their life. What happens inside a - human being in need? Sometimes there are warning signs, sometimes the suicide is completely unexpected. When our loved one take their life we are thrown into an abyss of sorrow and pain. As we face life again we also understand the power of love and our ability to heal. Out of the Darkness is a documentary opening up the taboos about suicide.

Ming of Harlem: Twenty One Storeys in the Air is an only-in-New-York account of Ming, Al, and Antoine Yates, who cohabited in a high-rise social housing apartment at Drew-Hamilton complex in Harlem for several years until 2003, when news of their dwelling caused a public outcry and collective outpouring of disbelief. On the discovery that Ming was a 500-pound pound Tiger and Al a seven-foot alligator, their story took on an astonishing dimension. The film frames Yates’s recollections with a poetic study of Ming and Al, the predators’ presence combined with a text by philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, reimagining the circumstances of the wild inside, animal names, strange territories, and human-animal relations.

A bitter conflict has raged between guerrillas and the army in Turkey's Kurdish regions for over 30 years. Large expanses have now become war zones. Countless young people have lost their lives to the conflict. This dangerous but incredibly beautiful mountainous country is home to 17-year-old Jîn. But she is no longer safe since she secretly stole away from a group of rebels with whom she was fighting. Now she wanders the picturesque landscape alone, caught between two fronts. All of a sudden, the sound of gunfire and explosions rend the air above the untouched natural scenery. Attack is threatened from all sides. Desperate to find peace, Jîn decides to escape to another part of the country – an impossible plan, since the military is omnipresent and there are road blocks everywhere.
