The film was created by re-dubbing footage filmed for the 1986 Taiwanese kung fu film Ren zhe da (known in English as Ninja: The Final Duel). Ren zhe da producer Robert Tai had reportedly filmed 10 hours of footage for the film that was cut to 90 minutes for release. Much of the footage that was not included in the release of Ren zhe da is included in Shaolin Dolemite as well as original footage of Moore observing the story of the film and making obscenity-laced comments. Other new footage includes a segment portraying Moore's long time friend Jimmy Lynch as a Drunken Master named Sam the Spliff.

Tiger, a fierce champion pro-boxer, is a gentle giant outside the ring. So when he accidentally injures a reporter during an interview, Tiger forswears his boxing career to care for the wheelchair bound journalist. Unbeknownst to Tiger, the reporter is exaggerating the severity of his injuries in the hopes of winning a financial settlement. The boxer's selfless behavior soon triggers a change of heart in the faking journalist, who must find a way to convince Tiger to return to the ring without risking their newfound friendship.

The Chinese Stuntman was a Bruceploitation film starring Bruce Li released in 1981. It is largely based around the Bruce Lee classic Enter The Dragon. Chang Wei (Li), a stuntman, is called to the secret island owned by the mysterious Fu Chi (Yun Wen Chang). Here he competes in a martial arts tournament to investigate the suspicious surroundings.

Kung fu champ John is given the chance to train CIA agents in martial arts by using self-hypnosis. But when he discovers the reason he escapes and the CIA go after him. John must fight for his life all over Europe as he flees the CIA.

Wang Chung plays the standard level-headed cop in charge of a rag-tag bunch of misfits and stereotypes (the coward, the playboy, etc.) who are after a drug runner. After their informant is killed, the team turns to a former Triad member (Danny Lee) to infiltrate the gang and bring the big boss down.
