知的障害を持つ娘のマコ（貫地谷しほり）を、男手ひとつで育てる愛情いっぽん（竹中直人）は、かつては人気漫画家だったが休業し、すでに30年がたっている。知的障害者のためのグループホーム「ひまわり荘」で住み込みで働き始めたいっぽんと、そこで出会ったうーやん（宅間孝行）に心を開くようになったマコ。しかしそんなある日、いっぽんに病気が見つかる。

蒼井優、鈴木京香、竹内結子、田中麗奈、仲間由紀恵、広末涼子の6女優が、昭和から平成にいたるまでの3代の女性たちを演じる群像劇。監督は「タイヨウのうた」の小泉徳宏。昭和11年、封建的な家長制度で生まれ育った凛（蒼井）は、親同士が決めた結婚を受け入れられず、花嫁姿のまま家を飛び出す。時は過ぎ昭和30年、凛の長女・薫（竹内）、次女・翠（田中）、三女・彗（仲間）は高度経済成長のなか、たくましく成長していた。そして平成21年、そして平成21年、彗の長女・奏（鈴木）は、平凡ながらも幸せな生活をおくる次女・佳（広末）を優しく見つめながら、人生の岐路に立たされていた。

現代に甦った恐竜の赤ちゃんと少女との触れ合いを描くSFファンタジー。畑正憲の原作『恐竜物語』（角川書店・刊）をもとに「天と地と」の角川春樹が監督。脚本は角川と「いつかギラギラする日」の丸山昇一。ダイアローグライターを内館牧子。撮影は「遠き落日」の飯村雅彦。恐竜製作を『E.T.』などのカルロ・ランバルディが担当。テレビCFなどで人気の11歳の安達祐実が映画初出演で主人公の少女・千恵役を演じた。

A highly anticipated cultural festival is less than a week away for the students of a local high school when mysterious, seemingly paranormal events start occurring within their building. A piano plays when no one is in the room; the power continually shuts off, seemingly at random; footprints are left behind by an unseen presence; objects appear to levitate and are hurled across the room. Concerned about the strange phenomena, six students, advised by Professor Yamakawa, form a research team and investigate the strange goings-on. One of the students is Reiko Kudo, who has ESP and a family history with the occult. As the investigation ensues, a disturbing story from the past emerges from the woodwork, culminating with an ESP confrontation on the day of the festival...

昭和初期の東京・山の手を舞台に、中年実業家の男の友情とその妻への秘めた思いを描く人情ドラマ。昭和12年春。中小企業の社長・門倉修造は、会社勤めのまじめなサラリーマン水田仙吉とは気が合い20年来の付き合いだった。その水田が地方転勤から3年半ぶりに東京に戻ってきたため、再び門倉と水田一家の家族ぐるみの付き合いが始まった。

その日、警察官の英次は雪の降り続く銭函駅ホームで、妻の直子と、4歳になる息子義高に別れを告げた。離婚を承諾した直子は、動き出した汽車の中で、英次に笑って敬礼するが、その目には涙が溢れていた。苛酷な仕事と、オリンピックの射撃選手に選ばれ合宿生活が続いていたことも原因であった。傷心をひきずる中、ある日の検問中、英次の上司・相馬が英次の目前で連続警察官射殺犯“指名22号”・森岡茂に射殺された。中川警視の「お前には日本人全ての期待がわかっている」との言葉に、犯人を追跡したい英次の願いは聞き入れられなかった。テレビが東京オリンピックマラソン競技三位の円谷幸吉の自殺を報じていた。「これ以上走れない……」英次にその気持が痛いほどわかった。
