Monisha Unni was an Indian actess worked mainly in Malayalam movies. Monisha was 15 when she became the youngest actress ever to receive the National Film Award for Best Actress for Nakhakshathangal (1986), her debut film.

Moondravadhu Kann
Priya , a rich girl, is in love with Sundar, a poor youth. Priya tries to elope with him but she fails and her father and her mother lock her in her bedroom. From there, Priya witnesses the murder of Shanthi by her husband Sabapathy in the opposite building. She takes photos of this murder and Sabapathy notices this act. Gopi, Shanthi's brother, only knows that his brother-in-law tortured his sister for a long time. He is the only one who suspects Sabapathy whereas their relatives considers him as a perfect gentleman. Gopi files a complaint secretly against Sabapathy. However, Sarath, an honest police officer, gives up the case due to the lack of evidence. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Deserted by his mother, teenaged Raju is adopted by Beeranikka, a Muslim ferryman. Raju soon starts accompanying Beeranikka in ferrying people. One day, he meets a young girl who is returning to her native town Kozhikode after the death of her mother. The girl invites Raju to Kozhikode where she would be staying with her father and uncle. Not interested in leaving the ferrying job, Raju rejects the invitation. A few days later, he finds himself in possession of an ornament which he thinks belongs to the girl. He travels to Kozhikode to return the ornament and finds the girl after many days of search. The girl does not recognise Raju and says the ornament does not belong to her. Disheartened, Raju returns to the ferry.

Good conduct and intelligence of Ramu gets noticed and he is asked by a lawyer to stay in the house, where Gauri is a maid. The lawyer's deaf and dumb daughter Lakshmi (Saleema) gets attracted to Ramu and the lawyer fixes the marriage without asking Ramu. The triangle love story leads to a sad ending.
