Gayatri's guardian (Jaishankar) accepted for their marriage but Vasanth (S. N. Vasanth), his son, also wanted to marry her and sent henchmen to kill him. Kannan died at Gayatri's birthday party where her guardian had arranged for their engagement after Gayatri promised to help his family. Vasanth's father sent his son to jail and he apologized to Gayatri. She went to her friend Mary's village instead of her.

While performing a trick called The Vanishing Beauty with the help of his neighbour Sridevi (Geetha Vijayan), a woman (Sobhana) unknowingly stumbles in on stage. The show is spoilt and they end up running away to avoid brickbats. They confront the woman and gets pulled into her mysteries.
Rameshan
Rameshan (Jayaram) and Jose(Mukesh) and best friends coming from similar backgrounds. Both are educated well-groomed lads of more earthy parents. Rameshan’s father Paramu Nair(Oduvil Unnikrishnan) is a tea shop owner while Jose’s father Varkey (Thilakan) is a farmer. Both have sisters waiting to be married off, only being confined by the outrageous demands for dowry. Janardanan
The movie starts with a loner named Ben Narendran writing a suicide note. He mentions that he is committing suicide as he has nothing to do with his life. He ends up saving another young man who has the same intention. Janardanan has committed a murder out of desperation and is scared of revenge. Narendran consoles him and offers him to take the blame of the murder so that Janardanan can live freely. Narendran gets sentenced to lifetime imprisonment. While in jail, he writes a book under the pen name "Ben" which becomes immensely popular. Once out of jail, Narendran gets word that Janardanan has died mysteriously. He sets out on a mission to find the culprits and destroy those who caused his death.
Sivasankaran
Kunju Lakshmi is the youngest daughter of the aristocratic Kavumpattu family in Peruvannapuram. She is pampered by her brothers and is a little arrogant. The family owns the local college. Sivasankaran comes to the college as a peon to replace the Padmanabhan who fails to give the promised donation to the Kavumpattu family in return for the job. In the meantime a love note that was written for Kunju by a classmate ends up in her book and she accuses Sivasankar of writing her the letter. Kunju gets into a fight with Sivasankaran. Her brothers join the fight and Sivasankaran declares that he will marry Kunju in 15 days.

Haridas
Haridas (Jayaram) moves to Trivandrum for a government job arranged by a local politician. He is provided accommodation by a retired major (Thilakan), a friend of his father, at his house. Haridas gets cheated by the politician and ends up working odd jobs to make ends meet. He initially shares his situation only with the major's daughter (Ranjini) towards whom he starts to grow romantic feelings. Eventually the major comes to know about his job and helps him out to get an alternate one. Meanwhile, Haridas realises that his original government job is now occupied by an old-time adversary Manu (Suresh Gopi), with whom he gets into multiple altercations.
Lt. Ajith Kumar
A businessman (Prathapachandran) gets murdered by his driver. His daughter Rekha (Urvashi) is married to Vinod (Suresh Gopi) who is more interested in taking over the business than taking care of his wife. Rekha's erstwhile boyfriend Ajith (Jayaram) who's now in the army is more sympathetic to her, but Vinod gets suspicious about their relationship.

Rajan
The story revolves around Aniyan Thampuran (Mohanlal), a naive and innocent prince of an erstwhile royal family, and his household in a village of Kerala. His family is heavily indebted by the wayward lifestyle of his elder brother Chettan Thampuran (Sukumaran). Chettan Thampuran's untimely death forces Aniyan to take responsibility for the family. This realization devastates him further and culminates in his suicide in a heart-breaking scene.

Bhasker aka Bhasi aka Pachu
Thampi retired as an accountant from Indian Railway in mid-1980s following his son's death leads a solitary life in his ancestral house. Thampi's grandson Bhasker aka Pachu had completed his medicine from Bangalore. Thampi is excited when his grandson Pachu, comes along with his friends to spend his vacation with grandpa.During the vacation Pachu and his friends often goes to the nearby beach for a swim. During one such visit Pachu and Lopez gets pulled into the ocean and only Lopez manages to escape. . Eventually the body is found on the third day. The funeral is held on the same day and Pachu's friends gets ready to leave the day after. They all visit the beach one last time to say goodbye to Pachu where they see Thampi arriving with priests to perform the funeral rites of Pachu. While performing the "bali", he takes the ultimate decision and walks away into the sea with the "balichoru" in his hands to the shock of all others.
Vishwanathan
Viswanathan comes to the city for a job interview, only to find himself entangled in a crisis due to his resemblance with a gangster. Frustrated, he decides to find and face his doppelgänger with the help of a police inspector friend, but finding the imposter proves difficult, and the further they dig, the more mysterious and shocking their findings.
Sophia has an argument with her parents over her marriage and leaves the house. Her parents seek the help of her close friend, Unnikrishnan, in getting her back in the house.
Balagopalan
Two friends, Balagopalan (Jayaram) and Jayakumar (Jagathy Sreekumar), own a call service called "We Help" to help people with the assistance of lawyer Madhavan Thampi (Madhu). Balu gets a call from Indu R. Nair, who is the daughter of a businessman. Later, Indu asks Balagoapan to be her bodyguard. But when Jayakumar and Balagopalan visit her home, they discover that Indu has been murdered. Officer Thomas Mathew takes charge of the case. Madhavan tries to find her killer to save Balagopalan and Jayakumar, before it is too late.
