Serge refuses at first, but then suggests that they rehearse the first scene and after five days he’ll decide if he wants to dothe play or not. What ensues is a battle of brawn and wits and peculiar encounters with a hotel maid who longs to be a pornstar and an Italian divorcée.

On his arrival at the prison, he seems younger and more brittle than the others detained there. At once he falls under the sway of a group of Corsicans who enforce their rule in the prison. As the 'missions' go by, he toughens himself and wins the confidence of the Corsican group.

近未来の半ば朽ちかけたような港町に子供の失踪事件が続発。実は町に横行する一つ目教団が、沖合に浮かぶ奇妙な実験室に住む天才クローン人間クランク（ダニエル・エミルフォルク）に夢を見させるため、誘拐していたのだ。サーカスの怪力男ワン（ロン・パールマン）の幼い弟ダンレー（ジョゼフ・ルシアン）も誘拐される。ワンは9歳のミエット（ジュディット・ビッテ）率いる孤児の泥棒団に出会う。彼女たちは孤児院を経営するシャム双生児の姉妹の命令下にあり、ワンも腕力を買われて一味に入らされる。ミエットはワンの弟探しに同情して、二人は一つ目教団の本拠に潜入するが捕まり、処刑されることに。
