魔力で動く《ゴーレム》で有名な町ストーナーで、ライアという少女を助けたリナとナーガ。恩を着せてライアの家に転がり込んだ二人は、ともにゴーレム職人である父ガリアと兄ヒューイの険悪な関係を目の当たりにする。ガリアはリナを、ヒューイはナーガをモデルにゴーレム作りを開始するが、それが街の二人の実力者によって、大がかりなゴーレム対決に発展してしまう。リナとナーガも相互の誤解から、戦う気まんまん。最強のライバルがゴーレムの力を借りて雌雄を決する時がやって来た!

While Scramble Wars does include characters from the original Bubblegum Crisis, Gall Force and Genesis Survivor Gaiarth, it also has a few other characters from other animes such as AD Police and Riding Bean.

『24時間テレビ愛は地球を救う』のスペシャルアニメ、第12弾です。手塚治虫が少年時代に中国のアニメーション「鉄扇公主(てっせんこうしゅ)」を見てアニメーションに魅せられるエピソードを中心に、アニメーション作家となって行く姿を孫悟空にまつわるエピソードを中心に描いた自伝的アニメを前半とし、後半は西暦3010年の銀河系サファイヤ星を舞台にした新発想のSF版孫悟空となっています。作品の構想中に手塚治虫が急逝したため遺作のひとつとなりました。

わんぱく王子・スサノオ少年が、そそっかしい兎のアカハナや大男のタイタンボウをお供に、幻想の島・オノゴロ島から海底の夜オス国、火の国、天の国・タカマガ原などを巡り、不思議な冒険を繰り広げ、最後に、ヤマタノオロチと壮絶な空中戦を展開した末にこれを退治し、美少女・クシナダ姫を救うのであった。

Two young aspiring adventurers, Sindbad and Ali, find an old sailor who has washed up on the shore. With his final breath, the sailor tells them a tale of a hidden treasure and hands over the map he had held on to through his trials. And so, the two would-be heroes are off for adventure.
