Kinshirô Kuzui

This biopic is centered on New Year's Day of 1894, when Kitamura is recovering from a suicide attempt. Japan is then under the spell of fervent patriotism because the government wants to build up public support for a war with China. Kitamura's literary friends and militant comrades come to visit. They wonder why Kitamura wants to kill himself. Kitamura at first refuses to receive them, then he sits down with them and looks back on his days as a civil rights militant, his stormy love life and his ardent but destructive desire to live literature to the full.

Yumi, an exceptionally beautiful call girl, has a close call with death when a client forces her to die with him. An old cop pities her and agrees to be her guarantor so that she could join a Nishijin weaver workshop. Yumi wishes to put her dark past behind her, but she's exposed by an ex-client. Despite the unwavered support of the old cop, she sees no way out and uses her seductive body again to get what she wants. Hiroyuki, her co-worker at the weaver workshop, is a pure-hearted young man who may redeem Yumi from her deadly path as a femme fatale.

慶応3（1867）年11月13日。雨降る京都の街並みを走るひとりの男がいた。彼の名は、坂本龍馬。土佐藩を脱藩して海援隊を組織し、薩長同盟の斡旋にも尽力した彼の奔走のおかげで、ひと月前の10月14日、大政奉還がついに実現。日本の体制は大きく変わりつつあったが、それを快く思わない連中が、龍馬の命を付け狙っていた。龍馬の元の同志である陸援隊隊長・中岡慎太郎も、龍馬を自らの手で殺すかどうか、大いに悩む。

キャンドルライトが闇の中から湧き出た様に浮び、周囲の闇は深い拒絶を示している。女歌手の唄声……。人気のないナイトクラブで秘やかに祝杯があげられる。革命軍「四季協会」の秋軍団が首都総攻撃を期し、米軍基地襲撃、武器奪取作戦を敢行するのだ。全裸の秋と十月が抱き合う。激しく秋を攻める十月。恍惚のさなかで誓い合う革命天使二人。闘いの始まり。首都をもやしつくそうとする炎が、今、その炎の手を上げようとしている。基地への突入隊は十月組隊長以下月曜から日曜までの八名の兵士。その半数が戦死し、リーダーの十月は弾薬の爆発で目を負傷する。別動隊の九月組は姿を見せず、女指揮官秋が現われ、アジトへの待機を指令する。過大の犠牲を払い手に入れた爆弾兵器は、冬軍団二月組によってクラブの歌手である金曜日の部屋から徴収され、金曜日と月曜日はすまじいまでのリンチにたたきのめされてしまう。秋軍団の解散式。十月は来ない。じれる秋の背に金曜日の歌が突きささる。秋が絶叫する。本気で孤立出来る奴、自分の身体だけで闘える奴、個的な闘いを個的に闘える本気の奴らが十月組なんだ！孤立した精鋭こそが世界を換える。世界を創る。十月！私は今飛ぶわ、あなたと、あなた達と！秋におそいかかる数人の男たち、血か飛翔する。大爆発。月曜日が爆弾をかかえ野分けのように走る。金曜日が駆けめぐる。一本の華麗な火柱、十月の兵士の壮絶な爆死。爆弾を背負った土曜日が、そして盲目のリーダー十月が風景の中へ溶け込んでゆく。あとは、静かな戦場の風景が、風に吹かれているだけである。

17世紀の長崎。キリシタン弾圧が激化する中、2人のポルトガル人宣教師が秘かに来日する。 20年前に渡来した恩師の行方を捜すためである。 キチジローに案内され隠れキリシタンの村にかくまわれるが、金のため役人に密告されてしまう…。

農業とエロチシズムを二本の柱として、単純再生産を基本としたユートピア集団の実現を計る人物と、偶然そこにまぎれ込んだ新左翼系の男女学生四人が中心となり、恋人交換、暴行、サディズムなど、さまざまな型の性を描きながら、よりよく、われわれが抱いている日本そのものへのアプローチを試みた作品。脚本、監督は「無常」でコンビを組んだ石堂淑朗と実相寺昭雄。撮影も同作の稲垣涌三がそれぞれ担当。なお、イナガキ・スコープというワイド版が一部使用されている。
