A new documentary film on traditional culture, planned and produced by the Pola Foundation for the Promotion of Traditional Culture, has been completed. The 50th film presents the essence of Kyogen, which transcends the generations of Mansaku Nomura, Mansai and Hiroki, spanning three generations of father and son.

休暇で熊野古道の近くにある和歌山県天狗村の「黒門ホテル」に宿泊していた勝呂武尊は、馴染みのラウンジで同席となった医師の沙羅絹子や、各地を旅している富豪の本堂家の人々（本堂夫人、礼一郎、凪子、主水、鏡子、絢奈）とそれに付き添う税理士の十文字幸太と出会い、その夜に言い争う男女が発した「分からないのか、こうなったらもう殺すしかないんだ」という言葉を耳にする。 自らの子供たちを支配し、全てを自分の思うようにしなければ気が済まない本堂夫人の態度に苛立ちを感じた沙羅医師は、礼一郎や鏡子に接触を図るが、それを快く思わない夫人は2人に彼女を無視するように命じる。その頃、勝呂は古き知り合いであり、今は代議士をしている上杉穂波と再会し、同行している編集者の飛鳥ハナの隙を見て逢瀬を重ねるが、空気を読めない勝呂の発言に気分を害した上杉代議士に背中を押され怪我をしてしまう。 怪我を理由に、翌日の全員がバスにて向かう熊野古道の探訪を断ろうとする勝呂だが、上杉代議士の願いを断れず、本堂家の人々や沙羅医師たちと共に探訪に参加。そこでも上手く同行していた飛鳥を騙し2人きりになるが、再び悪戯心の芽生えた上杉代議士に背中を押された勢いで山道を転がり落ちてしまい、遠回りをして助けに来た彼女の手を借りてバスへと戻り休む事となり、仕方なく彼女はバスへ戻っていた飛鳥と共に散策する。

Documentary by film director Isshin Inudo on three generations of the Nomura family of the Izumi school of Kyogen: Mansaku Nomura (89), Mansai (54), and Yuki (20). Summer of 2020. Yuki is to play an important role in the future of Kyogen. He will play four roles in "Nasu Yoichi Narrative". His father Mansai and grandfather Mansaku continue to rehearse. Mansai, as artistic director of the theater, is searching for the performing art of the Corona disaster for the sake of his family. Mansaku talks about his current state of mind in light of the hardships he endured during the war. And then, Hiroki's big day arrives. What is in store? This is a new documentary that makes the most of the 8K capabilities to convey the physical presence of each of the three generations and the details of their movements.

世界最古の歌舞演劇と言われる「能・狂言」。中でも特別な機会にのみ演じられる演目が「翁・三番叟」だ。600年以上の歴史を持ち、その起源は謎とされる。 この舞に注目しているのが世界的な音楽家・坂本龍一。 今回、桜が満開の中、能・狂言ゆかりの地、奈良・談山神社で、日本を代表する能楽師らが「翁・三番叟」を舞った。 坂本は、その映像から日本文化の奥底に流れる“多文化共生”や“アニミズム”の思想を読み解いてゆく。

都内の中堅メーカー、東京建電の営業一課で係長を務めている八角民夫(野村萬斎)。最低限のノルマしかこなさず、会議も出席するだけという姿勢をトップセールスマンの課長・坂戸宣彦(片岡愛之助)から責められるが、意に介することなく気ままに過ごしていた。営業部長・北川誠(香川照之)による厳格な結果主義のもとで部員たちが疲弊する中、突如として八角がパワハラで坂戸を訴え、彼に異動処分が下される。そして常に2番手だった原島万二(及川光博)が新課長に着任する。

The three generations of the Nomura family - Mansaku, Mansai and Yuki - who carry the 650-year history of Kyogen and pass it on to the future, perform the ultimate difficult piece, Sanbaso, in Paris. The film follows the 'challenge' of the three generations of the Nomura family, each of whom is living in the present.

アガサ・クリスティ6作目の長編小説でエルキュール・ポアロシリーズ3作目の『アクロイド殺し』を、三谷幸喜の脚本により日本で初めて映像化。設定を日本に移し、1952年（昭和27年）の片田舎・殿里村を舞台に主人公の名探偵・勝呂武尊が村一番の富豪・黒井戸禄助の殺害事件の真相を追う。 「ミステリーの女王」と称されるクリスティに敬意を表し、設定を日本に変更した以外は可能なかぎり原作に忠実に脚色している。 フジテレビ開局55周年特別企画として2015年に放送された『オリエント急行殺人事件』に続く三谷によるクリスティ作品の映像化であり、『オリエント急行殺人事件』と同じく主人公の名探偵・勝呂武尊役を野村萬斎が演じる。

戦国時代の京都。花を生けることで世の平穏を祈る「池坊」と呼ばれる僧侶の中でも、専好は名手とうたわれていた。そのころ、織田信長亡きあと天下を手中に収めた豊臣秀吉の圧政が人々を苦しめ、専好の友であった千利休が自害に追い込まれる。専好は秀吉に対して、力ではなく花の美しさで戦おうと立ち上がる。

Kyogen performer Nomura Mansai's speciality, Sanbaso, is said to be the oldest form of Shinto ritual in Japan's performing arts. On the occasion of his 50th birthday, Mansai took up the challenge of fusing tradition and technology with the help of media artist Daito Manabe and others to see how he could delve deeper into this "Sanbaso" and see if a new form of expression was possible. The programme will take up the challenge of fusing tradition and technology. The programme follows the trajectory of the project and explores the roots of what "Sanbaso" is all about.

The programme closely follows the birth of a new 'Macbeth' and his journey around Shakespeare. Kyogen actor Nomura Mansai and Shakespeare, and the similarities between them, are explained in an easy-to-understand way, and we come into contact with the art created by the two talents who have fused together over a long period of time.

ゴジラシリーズ第29作。総監督・脚本に庵野秀明、監督・特技監督に樋口真嗣を迎え製作された完全新作。 東京湾アクアトンネルが崩落する事故が発生。首相官邸での緊急会議で内閣官房副長官・矢口蘭堂（長谷川博己）が、海中に潜む謎の生物が事故を起こした可能性を指摘する。その後、海上に巨大不明生物が出現。さらには蒲田に上陸し、街を破壊しながら突進していく。政府の緊急対策本部は自衛隊に対し防衛出動命令を下し、“ゴジラ”と名付けられた巨大不明生物に立ち向かうが……。

残留思念を読み取る能力を使ったネタで世間を沸かせたものの、その結果として神経をすり減らした仙石は芸能界を引退し、静かな生活を送っていた。そんな折、女子高生ピアニストの亜美から、行方不明になった音楽教師の雪絵を「マイティーズ」に探してほしいという依頼が舞い込む。当初は渋った仙石だったが、元相方のマイティ丸山とともに事件の謎を追い始める。

Kyogen performer Mansai Nomura is taking on the challenge of various attempts to convey the appeal of Kyogen, a traditional art form with a 600-year history, to the modern age. While carrying the weight of the Nomura family's legacy, which was spun out by his father Mansaku, a living national treasure, and others, he has been lightly expanding his field of activity to appear in films and dramas and stage productions. These various activities are nothing other than the path of Mansai Nomura, a kyogen performer who conveys the appeal of kyogen with its profound expressive power to the present day. Through the figure of Mansai, who is always creating new challenges, this programme introduces the appeal of the "traditional Japanese performing arts" in the "present".

天下統一を目指す豊臣秀吉は関東の雄・北条家に大軍を投じるも、その中には最後まで落ちなかった武州・忍城（おしじょう）と呼ばれる支城があった。その城には領民からでくのぼうをやゆした“のぼう様”と呼ばれ、誰も及ばぬ人気で人心を掌握する成田長親（野村萬斎）という城代がいた。秀吉は20,000の軍勢で攻撃を開始するが、将に求められる智も仁も勇もない、文字通りのでくのぼうのような男の長親は、その40分の1の軍勢で迎え討とうとする。

This documentary follows 200 days in the life of contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto— a leading presence in the world of modern art. He is the winner of many prestigious awards and his photographs are sold for millions of yen at overseas auctions. The film shows the sites of the Architecture series shot in southern France, the huge installation art work at 17th Biennale of Sydney, his new work Mathematics at Provence, his art studio while working on Lightning Fields, and more. It thoroughly pursues the question Sugimoto's works pose - "living in modern times, what are these works trying to tell us?" A thrilling look into the world of Hiroshi Sugimoto.

The drama stars Beat Takeshi as General Hideki Tojo, who served as Prime Minister of Japan during World War II and was later executed as a war criminal. The story's theme is said to be a look at how the Pacific War began, focusing mostly on the three month period between the Imperial Conference (Gozen Kaigi) on September 6, 1941, and the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Kyogen actor Nomura Mansai's eldest son, Yuki (3 years old at the time), was chosen to play the role of a child monkey in the kyogen play Utsubo Saru, and together with Mansai's father, Mansaku, the three generations of the family made their first appearance on the stage. The first half of the programme is a documentary following Yuki as he trains for the traditional performance, and his father and grandfather as they strictly instruct him.

平安時代、都に鬼が現れては人の身体の一部を食らう事件が相次ぐ中、安倍晴明（野村萬斎）は藤原安麻呂（伊武雅刀）の娘・日美子（深田恭子）が毎夜夢遊病のようにさまよい歩くことと、鬼の事件との関係性を調べることに。一方、その頃都では幻角（中井貴一）という男が次々と奇跡を起こし、人々から神のように崇められていた。

Oedipus, a prince of Corinth, was prophesied to "kill his father and marry his mother." 人ももののけも同じ闇の中で呼吸をしていた平安時代。都の陰陽師である安倍晴明は、友人の源博雅から夜毎に自分の笛を聴きに来る牛車の女性の話をもちかけられる。そんな中、生まれたばかりの帝の子・敦平親王の身体に異変が起きる。

This film is the memoirs of Takasugi Shinsaku about the life of his great teacher Yoshida Shoin. Yoshida Shōin (吉田 松陰, 1830-1859) was one of the most distinguished intellectuals in the closing days of the Tokugawa shogunate. He devoted to developing many Ishin Shishi who made an outstanding contribution to the Meiji Restoration. At least two of his students, Takasugi Shinsaku and Itō Hirobumi later became famous, and virtually all of the survivors of the Sonjuku group became officers in the Meiji Restoration. Takasugi led rifle companies against the shogun's army when it failed to conquer Chōshū in 1864, rapidly leading to the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Ito Hirobumi became Japan's first prime minister. His admirer, Maebara Issei, was later killed rebelling against the Meiji regime. He is now enshrined in Setagayaku-（世田谷区）Tokyo, Japan.

連続テレビ小説「あぐり」のエイスケ役で注目を集めた野村萬斎。ドラマの名場面からニューヨークでの海外公演など、襲名後の活躍を紹介する。「狂言師　野村萬斎　初舞台から襲名まで」の続編。

狂言師・野村萬斎が、祖父・野村万蔵と父・野村万作に師事して3歳で初舞台を踏み、「萬斎」襲名にいたるまでの姿を貴重な映像満載で追う。イギリス留学中の幅広い活躍にくわえ、床屋でのヘアカットなどプライベートシーンも収録。（VHS版‘95年発売）

気力・体力・技術の限界が試され、狂言師の卒業論文といわれる秘曲「釣狐（つりぎつね）」。狂言界の旗手・野村万作は、22回にわたってこの曲を上演した、歴史に類を見ない記録を持つ。最後の「釣狐」にあたり、“白い狐”の神秘性を現代に蘇らそうとする万作の美学と挑戦を追うNHKスペシャル。（VHS版‘95年発売）

戦乱の世を生き抜いた武将・一文字秀虎も70歳を迎え、家督を息子3人に譲ることを決意。長男の太郎には一の城、次男の次郎には二の城、三男・三郎には三の城をそれぞれ与えた上、3人兄弟、仲良く相和して暮らすように説く。だが、三郎は、父の今後の身を案じたのがかえって秀虎の不興を買い、地方へ追放されてしまう。さらに3人兄弟の城を泊まり歩いて余生を暮らすつもりだった秀虎だが、太郎、次郎にそれぞれ疎んじられる。
