Grandpa is about to turn 80. His son and grandsons begin a journey to his homeland, Huamachuco, a place he has not seen since he was 9 years old. Along the way they discover an unexpected past and the journey will become a path of no return.

A dying man arrives at a hospital where the chaos of the health system is remarkable. As he waits in line, a newscast announces violent incidents and police officers search the hospital for the possible perpetrator.

In a city transformed by a diluvian cataclysm in the distant future, a young indigenous shaman woman's vision is strangely related to a similar vision of an old man's deceased wife across a vast span of time. In their visions the world's future shall be revealed.
The neighborhood La Estrella, in Bogotá, is inhabited by families displaced by the violence. Before the event which is the arrival of the electric light, that night there is a celebration. Cristancho and Brochero families, neighbors, friends and leaders of La Estrella, will be involved in a series of incidents and jokes.
