「砂の器」の名コンビである松本清張(原作・脚色)と野村芳太郎監督のコンビによる、推理サスペンス・ドラマ。桃井かおりと岩下志麻を主役に迎え、自動車事故で死亡した富山の財閥と、その夫人に着せられた保険金殺人の疑惑を辣腕女弁護士が解明してみせる。富豪の後妻に桃井かおりが扮し、その独特のエロキューションや、悪女と呼ばれる女のふてぶてしさ、可愛らしさを見事に表現。対する女弁護士には岩下志麻が扮し、終始毅然とした“理性の女”ぶりを発揮。そのクールな表情は、時としてホラー映画さながらの冷徹さを見せるほど。 この“理と情”のシンボルとも言えるふたりの女を、野村監督の演出は見事な対比で描いて見せ、事件の概要をも彼女らの言動を通して観客がすんなり理解出来るあたりの手腕はさすが。また桃井の後妻は過去に関する描写にウエイトを置いている一方、岩下の弁護士は離婚歴があり、夫側にいる娘とのやりとりを通してしか、「なぜ、彼女がそういう女になったか?」について言及していない、この描きわけが面白い。観客としては当然、桃井の悪女のほうに感情移入しがちなのだが、その彼女の窮状を救うのが、岩下の冷静な判断力と推理であるあたりの皮肉とカタルシスが、爽快な後味を与えている。ただし判決確定後、ふたりの女が交わす本音のやりとりは、両女優の演技合戦という意味も含めて、世の男性諸氏を恐怖のどん底にたたき落とすほどの壮絶さ。ご注意を。

稲川圭子（小林麻美）は、婚約者の田村樹生（小林薫）のことで神経科医の会沢（高橋悦史）を訪ねた。樹生の三人の兄が次々と蒸発するという謎の事件が続き、そして今度は自分が蒸発してしまうのではないかという強迫観念にとらわれて樹生がノイローゼに陥ってしまったのだ。まるで神隠しにあうかのように忽然と人が消える。その事件を解く鍵として、会沢は樹生に夢の記述を勧める。夢という形で近い将来に起こることを予見する本能が人間にはあるのだという。樹生と圭子はやがて三人の蒸発には奇妙な関連があることに気付くのだが…。

「男はつらいよ」シリーズ第27作。瀬戸内海の小島で、墓参をしている美しい浜田ふみ（松坂慶子）と知り合った寅さん。それからしばらくして、大阪で芸者をしているふみは、石切神社で寅さんと偶然再会する。二人は生駒山の宝山寺でデートを楽しむが、ふみには幼くして別れた弟がおり、寅さんのすすめで一緒に逢いに行くが、弟は病死していた。失意のふみに優しくする寅さんだったが、彼女の想いを受け止めることができずに、柴又へ帰る…

岩手で不審なトラックを追跡したパトカーが銃撃される事件が発生。陸上自衛隊の警務部長・江見は、内閣調査室の利倉とともに捜査を進め、一部の自衛隊員によるクーデター計画《皇帝のいない八月》の存在を知る。同じころ、かつて江見の部下だった藤崎はクーデターに加わる一部隊を率い、博多発東京行きの特急さくら号を乗っ取る。だが政府による鎮圧作戦が始まり、藤崎の隊は孤立。藤崎は最後の手段で乗客たちを殺すと脅す。

First in a series of Japanese TV movies which were based on horror-tinged mystery novels by Edogawa Ranpo.

The film follows the story of Sugi Toranosuke, a ronin, who returns to his home town of Edo many years after his attempted suicide as a sickly child. Rescued and adopted by a master swordsman, he has grown into a master swordsman and a very kind gentleman. The time is around 1868 the year that the nails were finally put into the coffin containing the feudal system that nurtured and sustained the samurai. Sugi is confused and unsure about what is happening but his teacher wants him out of the chaos of the multiple power struggles between the various clans.

In Part I we see the young would-be swordsman setting out to achieve greatness in war, achieving nothing because fighting on the losing side, & then beginning his long period of wandering & training, with the goal always in mind of his duel with Kojiro. Part II builds toward that great duel on Ganryu Island, with considerable focus on Musashi's planning & forethought as to how to gain an advantage.

刑期を終えて出所した福田清造と加東一郎は、、四十に達しようとする自分達の年齢を考え、まともな仕事につこうと別れることになった。それから一年後、東京港で荷役作業をしている労働者の中に清造がいた。彼は、急病人がでると医者のように手馴れた仕草で病人を治し、小金をためて故郷の緑ケ島へ両親の墓をたてようと帰ってきた。

「男はつらいよ」シリーズ第2作。車寅次郎（渥美清）は、弟分の登（津坂匡章）と北海道へ出発する前にふらりと葛飾商業学校時代の英語の恩師・坪内先生（東野英治郎）の家を訪ねた。先生の娘・夏子（佐藤オリエ）に一目惚れした寅次郎は浮かれてしまい、先生宅で飲み食いが過ぎ病院に担ぎ込まれてしまう。入院先の病院でトラブルを起こして脱走。さらに、舎弟の登と焼肉店で無銭飲食と店長の男性に暴力をふるい、警察に連行された。さすがにいたたまれなくなった寅次郎は北海道の仕事もうまくいかずに関西の京都へたどり着く。

A young female samurai comes upon a dying messenger and agrees to deliver the scroll he was carrying to its destination. However, unbeknownst to her, the scroll is actually a formula for a new kind of gunpowder. The spaceship AAB-Gamma is dispatched from FAFC headquarters in Japan to make a landing on the planet Mars and investigate reports of UFOs in the area. Set during the last days of the Tokugawa (Edo) Period, Moeyo-ken tells the story of Hijikata Toshizo and the Shinsengumi. Hijikata Toshizo is a samurai eager to test his skills and sword and make his first kill. The dojo he belongs to practices the Tennen Rishin style and teaches this to farmers. Not considered real samurai by other dojo's, they receive a request for a duel by a rival dojo practicing the Kogen Itto style. Sohaku Rokusha, a teacher there, challenges them and fights with Hijikata Toshizo. The outcome of the fight creates a deadly animosity between them that lasts through the ages.

When her only relative, her elder brother is accused of robbing and murdering an old woman loan-shark, pretty, young Kiriko travels from her home in Kyushu to Tokyo to get Japan's top lawyer to defend her brother. Unfortunately her naive idealism is shattered when the lawyer refuses to take the case based on her insufficient funds. What follows is a long determined revenge plot that sees the heroine become a Tokyo bar hostess and worse to punish the lawyer. The plot thickens with another murder mystery and a sleuthing reporter.

Misawa Ihei (Nagato) is traveling with his wife Tae (Iwashita Shima) who abhors the practice of sword fighting for prize money. Tae is the daughter of the clan's chief counselor who married the low-ranking Ihei to avoid becoming the clan lord's mistress. Into the mix comes Oba Gunjuro (Tetsurō Tamba), a mysterious ronin who will do anything for money. This leads to a fitting climax as the forces of hate and love converge while the couple attempt to break through the border!
