「1982 おたくのビデオ」 ごく普通の大学生・久保は、テニスサークルに所属し、さわやかなキャンパスライフを過ごしていた。しかしある日、高校時代の旧友であり重度のおたくである田中と再会したことで久保の生活は一変する…。田中をはじめとする、それぞれの道を極めたサークルメンバー達との出会いの中で、徐々におたくの悦びに目覚めていく久保。しかし、そのために失うものもあり、激しく苦悩するのだった。 「1985 続・おたくのビデオ」 おたくの中のおたく、おたキングを目指すこととなった久保と田中。彼らはガレージキット専門会社G・P(グランプリ)社を立ち上げ、業界の覇権をにぎるべく邁進する。時流をつかみ、都心に超高層の自社ビルを保有するほどの成功を果たした彼らの次なる目標は、おたくの理想郷の建設そしてだった! 様々な困難を経て、やがて彼らの夢の舞台は、はるか宇宙へ…。
