仲間を救うため魔王に進化したスライム、リムル＝テンペスト。 彼が仲間と興した魔物の国【魔国連邦（テンペスト）】の 西に位置する【ラージャ小亜国】では、 女王の持つ不思議な力を巡って、長きにわたる陰謀が渦巻いていた。 そしてリムルたちの前に突如現れた“オーガの生き残り”ヒイロ。 リムルの仲間ベニマルたちの兄貴分だったという男との再会。 絶たれていた“紅蓮の絆”がいま、新たな戦いへの導火線となる―。

ベルトルッチらしい美しい場面で綴る、魅惑的な輪廻転生譚。案内役となるのはアメリカ・シアトルの9歳の少年ジェシー。突然訪れた三人のラマ僧が彼の前にひざまずく。少年を仏陀の生まれ変わり、活仏だと言うのだ。父と共に未知のチベットに旅した少年は、そこで太古の偉大な王子ゴータマの伝説を学び、その姿を目の当たりに見て仏性に目覚めていく。インド・ロケによる王子が栄華を極めるシークェンスや、彼が悟りを開いて仏陀となるシーン等、SFXも絶妙で、映像的には大変見応えがある。
舞台は1000年前の北欧。大使として辺境の地を訪れた詩人アハメッドはバイキングの傭兵たちと出会うが、彼らの故郷が危機に瀕していることを知る。巫女のお告げで13人の戦士が選ばれるが、アハメッドもその中に含まれていた。霧深い森に分け入った一行は、そこで創造を絶する魔物と遭遇する……。
ある日、寒さに震えていた一匹の小さな捨て猫が、心優しき青年、時夫に拾われました。仔猫はチビと名付けられ、その日から須和野家の一員になります。時夫の事が大好きになったチビ猫は、いつか自分も人間になって、時夫の恋人になれると信じて疑いません。そんな時、世にも美しい銀色の猫、ラフィエルが彼女の前に現れたのです──。
