Based on a true story. In the 70s, during the last stages of Franco's dictatorship, Txema, a basque construction worker, is arrested because of his connection to some terrorists who have just committed a murder. The secret service see in him an ideal candidate to infiltrate the terrorist band ETA and become a mole, so they try to offer him a deal if he will do so.

1945年、第二次世界大戦末期のイギリス、チャネル諸島のジャージー島。グレースは、この島に建つ広大な屋敷に娘アンと息子ニコラスと3人だけで暮らしていた。夫は戦地に向かったまま未だ戻らず、今までいた使用人たちもつい最近突然いなくなってしまった。屋敷は光アレルギーの子どもたちを守るため昼間でも分厚いカーテンを閉め切り薄暗い。そこへある日、使用人になりたいという3人の訪問者が現れる。使用人の募集をしていたグレースはさっそく彼らを雇い入れるが、それ以来屋敷では奇妙な現象が次々と起こりグレースを悩ませ始める……。

マドリードに住む移植コーディネーターのマヌエラは、作家志望の息子・エステバンを女手一つで育ててきた。エステバンの誕生日、二人は『欲望という名の電車』の舞台を観に行く。そして、マヌエラが息子に今まで話さなかった父のことを話そうと決心したとき、エステバンは舞台の主演だった大女優ウマ・ロッホにサインをもらおうとして車にはねられ、そのまま亡くなってしまう。 息子の死を行方不明となっている父に伝えるため、バルセロナへ旅立ったマヌエラは、ひょんなことから息子の死の原因となったウマの付き人になる。バルセロナでマヌエラは、ウマのレズビアンの恋人で麻薬中毒の若手女優・ニナ、性転換した明るいゲイの娼婦・アグラード、エイズを抱えて妊娠した純朴なシスター・ロサ、その母親でボケの進んだ夫に手を焼く厳格な贋作画家、そして、今では「ロラ」という名の女性となりロサにエイズをうつした、息子と同名の元夫といった様々な女性たちと出会い、やがて人生への希望を取り戻していく。

Joan Mares obsession for the lovely and luscious Norma Valenti takes epic proportions because he cannot let go of her. After he is injured by some skin heads, he uses his scars to pursue his life as a street musician. He devices a plan to get to Norma and she never catches on to his deceit, except she realizes that as Juan Faneca his performance in bed is exactly what she had experienced with Joan Mares because she concludes they were taught sex by the same prostitute.

Pepa resolves to kill herself with a batch of sleeping-pill-laced gazpacho after her lover leaves her. Fortunately, she is interrupted by a deliciously chaotic series of events.

The new coach of the basketball team of Lugo arrives from Uruguay. He really knows nothing about training a basketball team so he keeps the previous coach on and in the meantime tries to learn from videos and books, but his real reason for coming to Spain was to find out about an old lost love.
