Fumi Tsubota (坪田文, Tsubota Fumi, July 7, 1983) is a Japanese screenwriter born in Okayama Prefecture. She provides screenplays for a wide range of genres, including dramas, anime, movies, and theatrical performances. She graduated from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Drama, Playwright Course. She completed the master's program at the Department of Performing Arts, Graduate School of Arts, Nihon University, and has a master's degree in arts. While she was in school, she received guidance from Isawo Takahashi (高橋いさを) and Ren Saitō (斎藤憐). In July 2002, she presided over Kūkan Zerī (空間ゼリー), a women-only theater company with the concept of “sympathizing with women and marveling at men,” and she wrote all of the theater company's works.

家に帰ると妻が必ず死んだふりをしています。

家に帰ってきたサラリーマンのじゅん（安田顕）は、玄関で血を出して倒れている妻ちえ（榮倉奈々）の姿を目にして驚く。だが、血はケチャップで彼女は死んだふりをしているだけだった。驚く夫を見てほくそ笑むちえ。それを境に彼女は、ワニに食われたり、銃で撃たれたり、頭に矢が突き刺さったりと、さまざまなシチュエーションで死んだふりをするように。あきれるじゅんだったが、理由も言わずに奇怪な行動を続けるちえに対して不安を覚える。やがて、それらが彼女の発する何かのサインではないかと考えるが……。
