At the disco Andriy, an 18-year-old boy, meets his classmate Zhenya, who moved away from their provincial town a few years earlier. When Zhenya disappears, all suspicion falls on Andriy who returns home in his friend’s sneakers. Zhenya's father, a local criminal authority, independently begins the search for his son.

The owner of the club tries to dissuade his friends to play a dangerous game, but everyone wants to nerve their nerves and to find out each other's private secrets. Vasyl Serediuk - head of the local Museum - having sent his daughter Kateryna to a french university, never expected the outcome: a month ago she informed him that she is getting married to a French heart surgeon François. Since then Vasyl’s proud statement spread throughout the whole region: “The Serediuks have made their European choice!".
