A wannabe rock star who fronts a Pennsylvania-based tribute band is devastated when his kick him out of the group he founded. Things begin to look up for Izzy when he is asked to join Steel Dragon, the heavy metal rockers he had been imitating for so long. This film is loosely based on the true story of the band Judas Priest.

9年間の刑務所暮らしを終えて出所したウィルソン（テレンス・スタンプ）は、ひとり娘ステイシー（ニッキー・カット）がＬＡで事故死したという手紙を受け取る。死の真相を確かめるべく、手紙を出した彼女の友人エド（ルイス・ガズマン）を訪ねたウィルソンは、やがて彼女の死に大物音楽プロデューサーのテリー（ピーター・フォンダ ）がからんでいるのを知る…。

伝説のインディオ、シリシャマ族を求めて南米アマゾンに来た映画作家のテリーら撮影隊は、シリシャマ族を探している途中で遭難していた密猟者・サローンを助ける。最初は温厚な態度をとっていたサローンだったが、巨大蛇アナコンダが現れるや否や本性を曝け出し、アナコンダ捕獲の目的遂行の為にテリー達を支配してしまう。テリー達はサローンとオオアナコンダの脅威から逃げ延びることは出来るのか…。
