Matthieu is a young and talented black box analyst on a mission to solve the reason behind the deadly crash of a brand new aircraft. Yet, when the case is closed by authorities, Matthieu cannot help but sense there is something wrong with the evidence. フランス軍の潜水艦で、並み外れた聴覚を活かし「黄金の耳」と呼ばれる特殊分析官として従事するシャンテレッド。それは僅かに聞こえる音から敵の動向を探る重要なポジション。しかしシリアでの潜航任務中、彼は怪しげな音に気づくも識別に失敗し、その判断ミスから甚大な危機を招いてしまう。彼の耳を惑わせたのはまるで“狼の歌(呼び声)”のような正体不明のソナー音。やがて再びその音が聞こえたとき、シャンテレッドは人類滅亡の危機を賭けた決断を迫られる。
