フランス軍の潜水艦で、並み外れた聴覚を活かし「黄金の耳」と呼ばれる特殊分析官として従事するシャンテレッド。それは僅かに聞こえる音から敵の動向を探る重要なポジション。しかしシリアでの潜航任務中、彼は怪しげな音に気づくも識別に失敗し、その判断ミスから甚大な危機を招いてしまう。彼の耳を惑わせたのはまるで“狼の歌(呼び声)”のような正体不明のソナー音。やがて再びその音が聞こえたとき、シャンテレッドは人類滅亡の危機を賭けた決断を迫られる。
Maverick Navy lieutenant Tom Dodge will never be a textbook officer, but he's a brilliant seaman who's always wanted to command a nuclear submarine — he's been given one last chance to clean up his record. Unfortunately, Admiral Graham, his nemesis, would rather sink the fleet than give Dodge his own boat. So, Graham stacks the deck against him and assigns Dodge to the Stingray, a diesel-powered WW2 submarine that can barely keep afloat. 退役を迎え、ハワイからアメリカ本土に最後の航海に出たアメリカ海軍戦艦「ミズーリ」。艦長のサプライズ誕生日パーティーと偽りヘリが着艦。しかしそのヘリには元CIAエージェント、ストラニクス率いるテロリスト一味が乗っていたのだ。副艦長・クリル中佐も仲間の一味で彼らを手引きしていた。クリル中佐は艦長を殺害、テロリストどもは他の乗員を船倉に監禁してしまう。彼らの目的は、艦に搭載されている核弾頭搭載トマホーク巡航ミサイルのブラックマーケットへの転売だった。 ただひとり難を逃れたのは、冷蔵庫に監禁されていたコック長のライバック兵曹のみ。しかし彼の正体は、元海軍特殊部隊「SEAL」の対テロ部隊の指揮官だった。彼は、ある作戦で部下が多数死傷し、当時の情報将校を殴打し降格処分になってしまった。それをアダムス艦長が不憫に思い、彼を自分の手元に置いてコック長という任務に就かせていたのである。 救出した同僚やケーキの中にいた女性ダンサーのジョーダン・テイトと共に、ライバックの反撃が始まる。

メキシコを舞台に、ひょんなことから出会ったスゴ腕ガンマンの流れ者と秘密を抱えた尼僧が、一緒に旅をしながら褒賞金目的の戦いに手を組んで活躍する姿を描いた西部劇。
流れ者のホーガンは、三人の男に乱暴されそうになっている尼僧サラを助けた。メキシコの革命騒ぎを利用して大金を稼ごうとしていたホーガンは、フランス軍に追われているサラと共に、革命派のもとへやってくる。そしてフランス軍の輸送列車を襲撃する計画を請け負うが……。凄腕ガンマンのくせに、妙に色っぽい尼僧には手を出せないイーストウッドがオカシイ。憎めない女を演じさせたら天下一品のマクレーンがここでも魅力を発揮している。
