スズメバチに襲撃され母や仲間達と生き別れ一人旅をしていたみつばち王国の王子、ハッチ。たどり着いた人間の住むセピアタウンでクネクネやニョロリなどのたくさんの仲間に出会い友達になっていった。そしていつも一人ぼっちでハーモニカを吹いていた人間の少女、アミィと出会う。偶然から虫と喋る事ができるようになったアミィは、ハッチと友達になり約束を交わすのだが、やがてハッチはスズメバチがセピアタウンに移動していることスズメバチにハッチのママが捕らわれていることを知るのであった。
