ハロウィンの夜、白いマスクをかぶった少年マイケル・マイヤーズ（ダエグ・フェアーク）は、姉のほか3人を惨殺。精神病院でルーミス医師（マルコム・マクダウェル）の治療を受けることになる。しかし、17年後のハロウィンの日、病院を脱出したマイケルは再び白いマスクを手に取り、恐怖の殺人鬼と化す。
