Following the lives of three college rugby players drafted to serve in the military during WWII. Though they believe their service will help to benefit their loved ones back home, they are unprepared for the hardships of war. Through their shared trials and sacrifices, they grow closer as friends, and hope to return together to better days. This movie was released in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII.

A widow and her two sons, Seitaro and Koji, live in the small town of Komori, where Buraku people are forced to reside. The two boys are continuously harassed by their teachers and classmates through their childhood as a result of their Buraku heritage. In the midst of the 1918 Great Rice Riots in Osaka, Seitaro meets with Asako, the daughter of a rice shop owner, and falls in love with her. She too is of Buraku descent. At the same period, Hideaki, an old friend of the brothers returns to Komori, and he along with Koji and the townspeople create "Zenkoku Suiheisha", the National Levelers Association, an organization pledged to build a bridge over the river of discrimination, making all people equal in every way.

父の転勤で、ロサンゼルスから日本に帰国した少年・翔。神戸のインターナショナルスクールに通う彼は、ある日、母と口論してふてくされながら学校へ行った矢先、大地震のような謎の大揺れに遭う。振動が収まったとき、教室の窓の外には信じられない光景が広がっていた。そこにあるはずの市街地は消え去り、広大な砂漠が広がっていたのだ。やがて翔たちは、どうやら校舎ごと遠い未来に飛ばされてしまったらしいと分かるのだが……。

札幌に住む予備校生の西江洸治は、以前強姦されそうになっているところを助けた村上マリ子と再会し、彼女をデートに誘う。彼女はその誘いを断るが、かつて親友だった山崎典子の行方を捜してくれたら付き合っても良いと言ってきた。さっそく洸治は調査のため小樽を訪れ、そこで典子がすさんだ生活を送っていたことを知る。マリ子はそれ以上の調査を望まなかったが、洸治は好奇心から調査を続行。ノリ子の写真を手に入れるのだったが、そこに写っていたのは…。

熱海で工員、大山次郎が幼馴染の女性、山口アイ子を絞殺するという事件が起きた。大山の運命は、警視庁の名物刑事“くわえ煙草伝兵衛”こと二階堂部長刑事に委ねられる。伝兵衛は謹慎を解かれたばかりだが「大山の殺意を一級の文学作品に仕立ててみせる！」と相変わらずの見得をきる。彼をサポートするのは10年来の愛人で、明後日には他の男と結婚式を挙げる予定の水野朋子刑事と、富山県警から赴任して来た妾腹の弟である熊田留吉刑事。ただでさえ尋常でない伝兵衛の捜査室は怪しげな雰囲気に充ちている。そんなことは知らない大山の面倒を見るのは、女房殺して20年、一度だけ取り調べを受けたという牢名主の鬼島作二である。取り調べが開始されたが、注射器を持ってきてシャブ中毒にしようとしたり、伝兵衛のやり方はメチャクチャ。その上、わけのわからないヒステリー裁判長が乱入して来て暴れたり、挙句の果て、大山を置いて見場のいい過激派人質事件に三人揃ってしゃしゃり出て行ってしまう。また、熊田と妊娠中の愛人、美由紀の痴話喧嘩を無理矢理見学させられ、伝兵衛と水野の別れ話につきあわされたりと、ひどい目ばかり。水野の結婚式まで後6時間という早朝午前4時、最終取り調べが始まった。伝兵衛オリジナルの事件再現である。伝兵衛が机の引き出しに仕掛けられたスイッチを押すと、一瞬にして捜査室に事件当時の現場が現われる。水野が山口アイコに扮し、あの日の自分に戻った大山の告白が始まった。彼はソープランドのかぶせ屋におちたアイコに結婚を申し込んだが、彼女がふたりの神聖な想い出を汚すようなことを口走ったためカッとなったのだった。

Masakazu Tamura plays the role of a ronin from Edo, Hayato Arakida, from the Mumyo Tenshin school dojo and a swordmaster working for Lord Awa. The film is based on the original work of Kyotaro Nishimura. A period show with a fierce fight on a raft going down a river and romance.

A run-in with the police once again puts three former reformatory inmates on the wrong side of the law. Their situation becomes increasingly desperate as events spin out of control, culminating in an audacious hijack at sea...

稲川圭子（小林麻美）は、婚約者の田村樹生（小林薫）のことで神経科医の会沢（高橋悦史）を訪ねた。樹生の三人の兄が次々と蒸発するという謎の事件が続き、そして今度は自分が蒸発してしまうのではないかという強迫観念にとらわれて樹生がノイローゼに陥ってしまったのだ。まるで神隠しにあうかのように忽然と人が消える。その事件を解く鍵として、会沢は樹生に夢の記述を勧める。夢という形で近い将来に起こることを予見する本能が人間にはあるのだという。樹生と圭子はやがて三人の蒸発には奇妙な関連があることに気付くのだが…。

国営放送の報道部員・南は、京都で開催された国際科学者会議でUFOの実在を訴えた直後に失踪した兵藤博士の行方を追ううちに、世界各地にUFOが頻繁に現われ、それと遭遇した人間の血が青く変質する事実を知る。南はその事実を報道しようとするが、放送局に政府の圧力がかかって頓挫せざるを得なった上に左遷させられる。青い血の人間が世界中で急激に増加する事実を各国の政府が隠匿する裏には、異星人への疑いに不安を膨れ上がらせた主要国指導部による陰惨極まりない謀略が隠されていた。世界規模で人権の一切を否定された青い血の人々に降りかかる惨劇の数々。そしてそれは悲劇への道でもあった。

Following the death of the second Tokugawa shogun, it is revealed that he was poisoned by retainers of his son Iemitsu in hopes of gaining him the shogunate despite the stammer and birthmark which undermine his respect. Iemitsu and his brother Tadanaga become bitter rivals for the shogunate, and the land is split into factions, eventually erupting into warfare. Iemitsu's mentor, his fencing instructor Yagyu, is fixated upon securing Iemitsu the shogunate and ends up betraying everyone, even his own family, in pursuit of the goal.

A bad cop is engaged in a violent chase to catch a yakuza boss. In his absence his wife runs away with another man, who turns out to be the very same man that her husband is hunting. Once he discovers this, he loses his nerve and turns in his badge. But the chase turns into a personal vendetta where the ex-cop plans to wipe out the entire gang.

昭和39年夏、与党・民政党の総裁選挙が行なわれ、現総裁にして内閣総理大臣の寺田政臣と最大派閥の領袖・酒井和明の一騎討ちとなった。数で劣る寺田総理が率いる寺田派は党内切っての実力者で副総理・広野大悟の派閥と協調して必勝を図った。その段階において両陣営とも票集めに10億円以上の実弾を投入した。中には広野派の神谷直吉代議士のように両陣営からちゃっかり戴く者もいた。激烈な選挙は僅差で寺田の三選で幕を閉じた。 それから数日後、金融業を営む石原参吉の元に内閣官房の西尾貞一郎が訪れ、星野康雄官房長官（寺田派）の名刺を持参したうえで秘密裏に資金を用立てて欲しいと告げる。ところが石原はこの申し出を断るものの星野の名刺を持ち去る。金融王として裏の世界を渡り歩いた石原は直感的に星野の周辺に何らかの疑惑があることを思いつき、星野の周辺を洗い出し始めた。その過程で寺田総理の郷里・九州の福流川ダム建設を目論む竹田建設と発注元の電力開発株式会社（小説では電力建設株式会社）若松圭吉副総裁の一派の談合と汚職の存在が浮かび上がる。

During the military phase of the Meiji Restoration of 1868, Sentaro joins a local militia loyal to the Tokugawa Shogunate in order to fight Imperial troops. But Sentaro's friendship with a pickpocket, who switches sides whenever it suits his needs, leads to complications that could cost Sentaro his life as they infiltrate enemy lines.

近ごろ、江戸城のお堀端で女の幽霊が夜ごと出没するという話を聞いて、江戸北町奉行所の切れ者の同心・板見半蔵は、早速調査を開始。幽霊に扮した女を捕まえ、さらには堀の中から小判を詰めた大量の竹槍を発見した半蔵は、きっと何者かがお堀端近くの江戸城の御金蔵から小判を盗み出し、その見張り役として幽霊を仕立てたのに違いないとにらむ。やがて半蔵は、盲目の検校で高利貸しもする石山が、最近妙に羽振りがいいことを知る。

Final part of epic drama about war and its effects upon human beings, follows the fortunes of the Godai family through the Sino-Japanese War through the Soviet Union's sudden attack upon Japanese troops at the end of the war.

「ママ、びっくりしないで、泣かないで、落着いてね。そう、わたしは旅に出たの。ただの家出じやないの、旅に出たのよ（つづく）」の書き出しで始まる。16歳の少女が、男出入りの多い貧しい絵かきの母と女ふたりの家庭や、学校生活が憂うつになり、家を飛び出したところから物語は始まる。舞台は四国。少女の実家も四国。海辺伝いに、四国遍路の旅に出た少女がママに宛てた手紙に託すかたちで、多感な青春の断面を四国の自然描写を織り込みながらみずみずしい筆致で描かれている。家出であり、旅でもあり、遍路でもあり、漂泊でもある、天衣無縫な自由きままな旅であり、常に母への手紙という形で描かれる。それは常に一方通行で、母からの復路はなく、すべてはモノローグである。

Blind masseur and master swordsman Zatoichi finds a robbed and fatally wounded pregnant woman, whose baby he delivers before she dies. He takes the baby in search of its father and finds the child's aunt, who is about to be forced into prostitution for want of a payment the dead mother was bringing. Zatoichi determines to save the woman from her cruel fate.

　松竹ヌーヴェル・ヴァーグ出身の吉田喜重監督が、大正のアナーキスト大杉栄が三角関係のもつれから刺された事件を取り上げ、大正時代と現代（昭和40年代）のそれぞれの風俗と人物たちを、時間軸と空間軸を交錯させ前衛的な手法で描いた愛と憎しみのドラマ。出演は細川俊之、岡田茉莉子。映画のモデルとなったひとりが、名誉毀損・プライバシー侵害を理由に、映画上映禁止の訴訟を起こしたことでも知られる。ちなみにこの時の請求は棄却されている。
