시놉시스

세상에 공개되지 않은 봉준호 감독의 첫 단편 "룩킹 포 파라다이스"를 본 이들은 ‘노란문 영화연구소’의 멤버 십여 명뿐이다. 어둡고 더러운 지하실의 고릴라가 똥벌레의 공격을 피해 낙원으로 향하는 이야기의 이 스톱모션 애니메이션은 청년 봉준호가 속해있던 ‘노란문’의 송년회에서 처음 공개되었다. 이후 30년간 오동나무 상자에 담겨 봉준호의 서재에 깊숙이 숨겨져 있던 8mm 필름 상자가 열리자 90년대 초 시네필들의 추억도 와르르 쏟아진다. “다들 미친 듯이 영화 공부를 하던” 영화광 시대에 ‘노란문’은 그들만의 시네마테크이자 영화학교였고 무엇보다 이상적인 청년공동체였다.

Iranian film director Amir Naderi talks to Zar Amir Ebrahimi about his career in this documentary directed and produced by Ebrahimi and broadcast by BBC World Service and BBC Persian. Amir Naderi is one of the most influential figures of Iranian modern cinema. He was born in 1945 in the Persian Gulf port of Abadan. Orphaned at an early age and living the life of a street urchin, Naderi had to survive by selling ice, working as a shoeshine boy and recycling empty beer bottles.
