부티크에서 일하는 유는 애인 케이와 함께 산다. 케이는 배우이긴 하지만, 사실상 실업 상태로 모든 것을 유에게 의존한다. 어느 날, 케이가 유에게 이제 결혼하자고 하는데, 갑작스러운 청혼에 유는 케이의 진심이 무엇인지 알 수 없어 불안하다. 케이가 폭력적으로 변하자 두 사람의 관계는 무너지기 시작하고, 마음에 상처를 입은 유는 결국 집을 나가고 만다. 주로 TV 쪽에서 활동하던 스와 노부히로의 장편 데뷔작. 시나리오에 의존하기보다는 촬영 현장에서 배우들의 즉흥 연기에 모든 것을 맡겼다고 한다.

High school student Hatsumi lives with her mother. Her father passed away. She then meets 18-year-old Ryutaro who works at a waste paper collection field. They fall in love.Ryutaro is then unable to contact Hatsumi and jumps to the conclusion that Hatsumi hates him. When they meet again, Ryutaro loses control of his emotions and a horrific incident occurs. Hatsumi becomes conflicted with her mixed emotions towards Ryutaro. She makes a decision.

Keiko is a 23-year-old lonely virgin who lives in a tiny room, and hopes to meet someone in the cafe she frequents. After a bad affair with one of the other diners, she vows to give up men. She then begins a happy lesbian relationship with her co-worker Kazuyo. However she is under constant pressure from her father to marry.

At an all female high school, a senior of the radio club becomes fascinated with the club's newest member. As graduation nears and the summer heat rises, so does the sexual tension between the girls.

A bad cop is engaged in a violent chase to catch a yakuza boss. In his absence his wife runs away with another man, who turns out to be the very same man that her husband is hunting. Once he discovers this, he loses his nerve and turns in his badge. But the chase turns into a personal vendetta where the ex-cop plans to wipe out the entire gang.

When his father flees from debt, carefree college student Osamu sees his life turn upside-down. Expelled from school and evicted from his apartment, he becomes one of Japan’s many ‘net cafe refugees’, barely scraping by each day with temporary and part-time work. Even though he’s still in Tokyo, his circumstances drive him to see and experience his home city in new ways. Trying to survive, Osamu gradually acquaints himself with the ‘invisible’ spaces occupied by the wanderers and homeless of Tokyo… people just like himself.

Ryuji tries quitting the yakuza to actively support his wife and daughter; as he's used to easy money, it's a difficult transition.

Even though two individuals may be insignificant in the context of a large society, one life meets another and they move forward. This is a movie about their small footsteps.

하나자와 켄고의 동명 만화 이 실사로 만들어 졌다. 현실감 넘치는 이야기와 매력적인 배우들의 연기가 어울려, 영화는 충분히 볼만한 작품이 되었다. 29살의 숫총각 타니시의 취미는 같은 사무실의 치하루를 스토킹하거나 포르노를 감상하는 것. 어느 날 타니시에게 치하루와 가까워질 수 있는 운명적인 기회가 찾아온다. 하지만 이런 기회가 그렇게 쉽게 이루어질 순 없는 법. 잘생긴데다 똑똑하기까지 한 아오야마가 이들 앞에 등장한다. 일단 시작하면 눈을 돌리기 힘든 흡인력은 원작과 마찬가지. (2010년 14회 부천국제판타스틱영화제)
