The Renegade Ranger (1938)

Walker investigates a murder connected with a missing government weapon. In addition, he tries to track down a teen on the run from a crime syndicate.

The Texas Rangers send Dave and Chito into the badlands to see if they can locate a counterfeiting operation. They arrive posing as wanted outlaws and this gets them into the gang. But as soon as they uncover the operation and locate the printing press, one of Chito's girl friends arrives to expose their identity and they find themselves trapped by the entire gang.

텍사스 교도소에 수감되어 있는 클로비스에게 아내인 루 진이 면회를 온다. 루 진은 클로비스에게 자신들이 가난하고 돈벌이가 마땅치 않다는 이유로 정부에서 아이를 부잣집에 입양하려 한다는 소식을 전한다. 클로비스는 형기를 거의 마치고 4개월 후면 출소할 상황이라 탈옥할 이유가 없었지만 이대로 있으면 아이를 영영 찾지 못한다는 진의 절박한 설득에 못 이겨 탈옥을 감행한 후 아이를 찾아 슈가랜드로 여정을 떠난다. 그런 와중에 이들 부부는 자신들을 추적하는 경찰을 인질로 잡아서 아이들만 찾으면 경찰관을 풀어주겠다는 협정을 맺는다. 어설픈 현상금 사냥꾼이 나타나고 매스컴의 주목을 끌면서 슈가랜드로 향하는 여정은 점점 시끌벅적해진다. 반면에 이들을 지지하는 사람들도 하나 둘 생기고 인질로 붙잡힌 경찰관과 이들 부부사이에 ‘스톡홀름 신드롬’이라 일컬어지는 묘한 동질감이 생겨나는데...

Having fled to Mexico from the U.S. many years ago for killing his father's murderer, Martin Brady travels to Texas to broker an arms deal for his Mexican boss, strongman Governor Cipriano Castro. Brady breaks a leg and while recuperating in Texas the gun shipment is stolen. Complicating matters further the wife of local army major Colton has designs on him, and the local Texas Ranger captain makes him a generous offer to come back to the states and join his outfit. After killing a man in self defense, Brady slips back over the border and confronts Castro who is not only unhappy that Brady has lost his gun shipment but is about to join forces with Colton to battle the local raiding Apache Indians.

Sent to Mexico to buy a bull, a Wyoming cowhand (Doug McClure) teams up with three Texas Rangers to solve a robbery/murder.

Tex put the Kern gang away once but they have returned with reinforcements and have take over the town of Red Rock capturing the townsmen and forcing them to work for them in the gold mines. Dave and Tex then organize the ranchers into the Territorial Rangers. After blowing up the mines to keep the gang from getting the gold, they are ready for the showdown between the two sides. Peggy Barlou is a young rancher who refuses to sell her spread to greedy stage-line proprietor John Rankin. Tex Haines, meanwhile, is accused of killing Bill Dugan, Rankin's bodyguard, but eludes capture long enough to hook up with Dave Wyatt and Panhandle Perkins, a couple of rangers in disguise.

An outlaw named Duane ( Tom Mix ), captured by the Texas Rangers, is promised a pardon if he rounds up a gang of cattle thieves. The man he suspects as the leader is revealed to be the father of Duane's sweetheart, Helen ( Billie Dove ). Duane captures the gang, gets a pardon for Helen's father, and marries Helen.
